300 gpm

I have a 300 gpm trash pump that I am thinking of putting a fire hose on and using for rinsing flatwork. Has anybody tried this? The flow would be some what restricted due to using 2" hose. Even at 150 gpm I would have only a few minutes of water but for the smaller jobs I would think that might be plenty of time at at 150 gpm or so.

I know of a few guys that use trash pumps like that, just don't restrict the flow too much, don't go smaller than 1" hose.

ya I don't plan on using smaller than 2"

I've got one rated at 9100 gph so that's just over 150gpm that I use to drain pools with. 2" hose and the street is flooded in no time at all.
Thats with a call in permit of course.
Would like to see a 300gpm in action!

I used it to pump out water from under a house a while back. It was like a small river going down the street. And smelled nasty.

There was some video on here or on the Grime scene of John from New York and a Maryland contractor teaming on a garage using trash pumps, he had 2 525 gal tanks.
