2 pressure lines to 1 pressure line

I am looking to take my 2-reel 3000psi, 9gpm Hydrotek down to a 'one-man' machine...

The pic below shows where the pressure hose comes out of my washer, can I just use a threaded plug in one of the outlets to replace on of the hose lines?

Any advice is appreciated...

thanks kory... I was thinking about a ball valve - gives me some flexibility.

Carlos, I don't ever use 2 hoses at a time. When I have, I really don't like the change in flow as trigger is pulled on the other line. I am looking at changing my trailer to a 325 gallon tank (down from 535) so that I can have a soap tank to downstream from. I've been chasing a lot of flatwork aswell, and 4.5gpm when using 2 hoses just wouldn't help me to work efficiently.

If I land some of the work I'm chasing I'll get another setup for a second line, just make the whole process more effective.

I think it would definitely be cool to have the option of 1 or two lines instead of plugging it and being stuck with only 1.

Put the 9gpm to a surface cleaner and get another machine for rinsing.
I have been hooking a 5gpm and a 5.5gpm together for my Big Guy and I love it. It cleans so much faster. In the next couple of weeks we are buying another machine 8gpm. Bigger is better.

Hey Ash

I was looking at using the 9gpm for surface cleaner and another machine for rinsing, columns, canopies, etc. I've only ever used the 9gpm, when I tried running 2 surface cleaner off of 4.5gpm.... eugh! lol :D

What kind of machine are you getting? I'd like to for another Hydrotek, but might go for PressurePro, heard they are a lot better than they used to be.

what size of tank are you running ash?

I have the hydro tek as well. I just put ball valves right at the connection you showed or at the end of the hose I am not using. Ball valves save a lot of time and effort.

You gonna run 3 machines or will 1 be going up on the auction block?

Steve, I just put a ballvalve on one side of mine (I have the same machine) That way the second line is there if I need it fo popping gum and such

I run a 10 gpm machine on one of my trucks and I agree that once you get used to that kind of flow, there is no going back. You can control the flow and eliminate that pulsing of power between two lines by putting a downstreamer inline on both outlets.
