2 machines - double gpm?

I want to hook a 4000 psi @ 4gpm machine to a 3000 psi @ 4.5 gpm machine to get a good washdown rig making 8 to 8.5 gpm. I'm not concerned about raising or lowering the psi. I just need more gpm. Is this possible and how?? thanks
 
You can do this as long as you adjust the higher Gpm machine down to the same psi as the other one. The use a nozzel chart for your new tip size. No guessing figure it by the chart.
