what are the options available in a 18-20 inch surface cleaner that has 2 large back wheels, and a caster in the front similar to a big guy with a solid handle as well.

I know of a couple but there has to be other options.

Landa Waterjet
Landa Cyclone

Any others?

I know alot of you guys dont like the Northstar brand but they have the 20 in. with casters up front but i think they have casters in back too instead of big wheels. Just a suggestion. Dont know how they hold up . . . never tried one.

That was my first surface cleaner, and I have to say, it really does BLOW, unless you want to spend 2 or more hours on a standard size driveway get it, if not, get you a whirl a way, classic, landa cyclone, really any other brand besides northerns.. lol

I talked to a company about making a kit to add to the Classic, Aqua Force, Ground Force or just about any other brand of 18" to 24" surface cleaner to add the tires, castor and solid handle like on the big guy to the other surface cleaners.

I think that they are working on it, just might take a little time before it is ready if they do bring it to market.

Maybe we will hear something today.

Most of the 18 - 20 inch are going to be either floaters or casters on all 4 corners.

The Landa Water Jet is Ron's surface cleaner of choice, he has over 30 of them.

I really like the idea of tires in the back with a solid handle so you can make long straight passes without having to hold the hover type in a straight line and keep it from moving side to side at the same time. With a solid handle, 2 fingers is all you would need to move it instead of both arms to hold up the handle and hold it in a straight line.

If I could find a Landa Water Jet or Cyclone at a good price, I would get one because with that size and 5.6gpm, it would clean at great speeds and still be very maneuverable. I don't think I would need the adjustable height of the Water Jet.

This is a 24" Steel Eagle

The 2 Steel Eagle 24" surface cleaners that I have use a simlar handle but the castor is supported by a piece of steel off the front, not all one tube frame like that.

I think I would like that one bette if the front castor was really 2 of them but on the sides where you can bump the front of the surface cleaner close to the wall instead of a few inches away.

I think you used to sell a surface cleaner like that Larry, do you still sell it or was that a while back?

We still sell that. It will be on sale at the RT.

I currently have 2 of the steel eagle 24's but when compared to a 20 inch the 20 inch is more efficient and the tech can squeeze in another property each night. The only downside to using the 20 inchers like the classic from whisper wash is by the 4th property he is so tired from holding the darn handle up and keeping it from going ha-wire that he is to the point of not being efficient anymore. I just wanted to know if there were an option other than the landa surface cleaners out there that had a setup of wheels similar to them or the other brands. The surface cleaners with casters never seem to last. I just got the second steel eagle and the front caster was locked up within 8 hours of use. The caster was replaced and the same result happened.

It is available with the Deublin SS swivel.

Larry, that is the surface cleaner I was talking about.

On that one there, the brackets that hold the front caster wheels, are they welded on or bolted? If they are bolted on, I would be interested in changing my Steel Eagle around to make it like that one. How much for the brackets and casters?

Is that a brush or rubber skirt on the bottom? I would like to add a brush skirt to the bottom, it would keep things from shooting out and making a big mess sometimes.

There are some great ideas in that surface cleaner pictured there Larry!

Brush Assy. BSE-0081 List $63.72 Show Price $50.98

Larry, that brush is a great idea!

I don't know if Steel Eagle offers that or if it is just you but I have talked to a lot of guys that wish there was a brush for the bottom of Steel Eagle surface cleaners so it would not shoot dirt and rocks out all over the place.

I might pick one up on Friday next week before the Round Table.
