I have never liked the burner fuel lines being hose, with all the heat etc in the area, and then I had them fall onto the pulley and get gnawed! - lost heat and found a smokey mess with diesel spraying around the engine and muffler - NO fire thank the Lord. So I replaced the lines with copper...
Recently put a new engine in service and came across this info about a 'hard' break-in as opposed to the long recommended 'easy' break-in . Makes sense and he has dozens of torn down pistons to show the difference.

Need to take it off soon and last time it would not budge. My one plan is to run the engine till hot and try it then. Think I'll split the gear box and take the 40 lb pump off. If it comes to it maybe I could cut through it with a grinder?
Shot radiator on my Kohler Aegis. 2-3 weeks from every place I could find. Needed this rig now, so... '99 honda civic radiator, over the counter $80, fan and shroud at the junkyard - on a Saturday - $20, some radiator hose and its running like a champ! Plus I got a kick out of the whole thing...

A poorly running tank fed pump - vibration, pressure loss -was back up to 100% after pressure feeding for about 10 seconds?? It ran for a half hour and then went back and forth every so often. The pump actually ran dry and and would not prime so I hooked up a water hose and started it. This pump...
I want to put the unloader on a tee so the water goes past it right out to the gun while spraying. When the gun is closed then the water would go through the unloader. Is this a balanced unloader? Does it have to bypass at full pressure? How could it be done?
Saw this on display at autozone. Clean clean, helps some kind of diesel cat converter, cleaner exhaust - this will be great to add to the burner diesel, and only $11.99 for 2 and a half gallons! So I'm about to add it to the tank when I notice 'do not add to diesel fuel' ? And the ingredients...
Just wondering about removing the galvanizing from steel before welding. Would some NMD 80 or other acid do it or is there a standard method or should I bother? I'm using flux core mig wire.
Just a sidewalk, not a building. Couch was set on fire on the sidewalk and burned all the way, no one put it out. Just wondering what I might want to try and chems to have with me. Haven't seen it yet.
On top of the fuel pump there is probably an 1/8" plug, take that out and put a permanent gauge in. 0 - 200 psi. I think they do run hotter under pressure.
