I get this call....the mgr is telling me how small the hood is and it's just a little Italian Restaurant. How bad could it be right?

Ok this was an Indian restaurant I looked at today. To start their tandoori oven they were heating the coals directly on the flame from the stove. :eek: There are many many things wrong with place......can anyone spot the deficiencies????

We're roasting here in LA. Over 100 degrees every day and humidity is high too.

I was called out to this place. It was cleaned in May by another company but she told me she had a "feeling" that they did not do a good job. I had the same "feeling" when I removed the filter and looked up.

I went to a place yesterday that was closed down for "repairs".

I went out to this place. The owner has 2 different restaurants in the same mall. One is Chinese the other is Japanese. Both have 1 hood, 2 ducts and 2 fans. He wanted a good price since he had 2 locations and that sounded good to me until I saw the places up close :eek:

It's after 3PM and I have one more stop I could get to if I really wanted to work hard...It's a little out of my way - but heck it is a donut place. Those are easy right? I go in, pop a filter and do not even bother to get my flashlight out - I just snap a quick picture and put the filter back...

This lady is remodeling her kitchen (residence) and removed the hood and had a bunch of dead bees fall out of the duct. She was telling me a few years ago she had a lot of bees in her house and could not figure out where they were coming from :eek: They are all dead now.

Had to be creative at this place....there was no roof access whatsoever. I knew that if I could not figure it out then the crew showing up to do this one would probably come back the the office and tell me "We can't get on the roof".
