Ok this place was cleaned by another company 3 days before I took the photos. The sticker says the cleaning meets NFPA #96. Anyone care to comment????

I went to this place yesterday. 3 hoods, and a crazy bunch of laterals in the ceiling. It is a national chain of chicken places.....not Col. Sanders! It took me 25 min just to go from the restaurant - to security - to mall mgmt - back to security - to the roof - to the fans - back to security...

Another fine Chinese Restaurant.

I do not know which is worse: The exhaust system in this restaurant - OR - The fact that the company that "cleans" it offers "Nationwide Service".

This was a wierd one. 1 long hood, 2 ducts -1 upblast blowing out the side into a littel corner between 2 buildings. another duct straight up to a squirrel cage fan with a grease contaiment system already installed. No way to get to the upblast fan unless you are 90 lbs and can fit through a...

This grease duct is blows straight out the side of a 4 story building. The building is literally right next to the freeway and when you stand on the fire escape you are almost directly over the slow lane. The duct has an inline fan and 1 hood directly on the other side of the outside wall...

This place had been experiencing a "smoke problem" on their wood oven. :eek: He said his current company was "unresponsive". :confused: The owner thought I was crazy when I suggested that he needed new filters and needed to clean this system monthly.

Somebody went to a lot of trouble to install this ansul system inside a Gaylord hood. Lots of holes drilled through the stainless Gaylord waterwash hood. No tag on it....Hmmm They placed the links inside the plenum (behind the fire damper). It seems wrong to me. Doug I am sure you know.

We got the new company trucks in today. Matt really went all out this time. They only go 30 mph so no freeway driving. It only took me 4 hrs to get to Irvine from the office today. I had no time for bids once I got there so i just went back to the office:D Just think of all the gas money...

This place is a problem waiting to happen. 18 hoods and ducts all with the ansul wire running right through the tops of the ducts. The conduit is running all over the roof in every direction. Just lean on one or trip over one and POOF!:eek:
