Went to a restaurant, gave proposal. Followed up with manager and asked for DM info. Called DM gave price which was less than they currently pay. Went out and did demo, their current guy isnt doing anything. This DM had 8, 50 in the region. She is impressed and wants to switch but says it could...

    Small surface cleaner

I am thinking about getting a small, one foot diam. surface cleaner. Anybody use one? Purpose. small walks, with mulch on each side its hard not to make a big mess with a wand. Also, tighter curve should be able to get deeper into corners and around table/bench/chair legs and other obstacles...

Anyone have some recommendations for boots and gloves. I need a better pair of tall rubber boots and come waterproof gloves tough enough for pressure washing. Extra points in your suggestion of boot is fur lined.

    How binding are you contracts?

My standard agreement is basically an official agreement on price and work to be done. No one year contracts or other time details as of yet. Two reasons, dont want to scare them, I use comcast and i am not under contract but why would I got anywhere, they are the best service for a reasonable...

Please tell me what is available for runoff control

A quick history. I started pressure washing 10 years ago, went for about 5-6 years then hung it up. I went the whole time very uneducated but knew enough to get by. Now we are doing it right. I got a respectable machine and am trying to learn everything I can. I would love a reclaim and recycle...

    How often do you bill?

If you are cleaning twice a month how often do you bill? It seems excessive to bill every two weeks. I can see billing quarterly making sense if you can handle it, for clients you know are good for it.What do you do?

What sustainable temp do I need for flatwork?

max temp may be 200 but was talking to a guy today saying a certain companies units would only sustain about 150-160 at 9gpm. When working with oil gum and other gook you find on flatwork, would those temps be falling short of what is necessary to do a good job.

    Back in it. Need advice

It's been a few years of slavery in a grunt job, but I'm back. I want to do it right this time. The plan is to focus on commercial flatwork. I have lots of questions but will focus on equipment for this thread. In the past we ran a simple mobile cold water machine. It was inadequate and I...

    Yellow Stains on new concrete

We were called by a moving company to remove several oil spots on a fairly new driveway, I think less than 6 months old. We used a combination of New Again's Super Degreaser and Drive Thru Pad Cleaner. We used these full strength and they took up a lot of oil but the lady is complaining about...

Need some help with some road sign design.

Weve been working to get some signs made to put all around town. I'm not very good at designing these kinds of things so this is what we have so far. Please let me know what to change. It's definitely directed towards residential folk and we would like to have the logo on there. The sign guy...

What size PW do I need?

I am looking into upgrading our pressure washer. For the longest time we have been using a 4000psi 4gpm cold water unit. As most of you know, for house washing and flatwork(with our surface cleaner) this works ok, until we get to oil or something. And I think just having heat would speed...

    Oil-Away

Saw a post a few days ago that may be about a year old about Oil-Away. It was a video Ron had posted. The website is very lacking in regards to pictures of before and after and other info. How well does it work? Would it make month old oil stains on white concrete disappear? Ive got more...
