    Prep work

How much time do you spend prepping a structure to wash it? This is priority for us and our customers know it. We use duct tape, caulk, and plastic to protect doors, electrical outlets, fans, light fixtures, plants, etc... I think this is a very important step in the cleaning process.

    How much?

Here's one we did yesterday. It was pretty steep, but all in a days work. What does this roof go for in your town, honestly? 2516sq (including garage) nothing special around back, it did have some pretty good pine straw build up on the gutter screens. We did'nt have to cover anything and it took...

    Interesting quote

"Typically, these services spray undiluted pool chlorine as a "Cleaning Agent". This is a very dangerous and damaging process to both the roof and the environment. It is also illegal in the state of Florida" Anyone aware that it's illegal to clean roofs with s/h in Florida?

How are you rinsing your roofs?

For those using 12volt pumps, John blue (low volume high psi pumps), or any pump other than a pressure washer, what are you using to rinse down the roof after you have applied your solutions? Some rinse and some don't, I'm not knocking it one way or the other. If you do rinse what means do you...

    Hose diameter flow test

I ran some tests last weekend on my pump with three different diameter hoses to see just what I could get at the end of 200'. The tests were done to maximize my efficiency and not for starting up more "hose wars". The pump pulled water from a supply tank and was attached to each line via a 3/4"...

    cold weather equipment tip

I don't know how everyone prepares thier equipment for the cold nights. I blow all the water out of my pumps and hoses with this air fitting I made up. If you make one up, be sure to pour the air to it slowly until the water gets to flowing out. There's no need to open it all the way up, it will...

    Price Isn't Everything

I Bid A Nice House In A Nice Neighborhood Last Week. I Met With The Homeowner And Told Him About Our Services And A Little About Myself And My Help. I Gave Him An Estimate Of $1,250.00 For House, Roof, And Drive. This Price Was A Little Agressive, But We Are Pretty Busy And It Would Probably Eat...
