Tiny Tuff

I'm using a Tuff 4GPM Hot unit. Of all the things I would change from the beginning, I'd have bought a larger GPM machine.

I was starting underfunded, and this was a way to get going and build some experience.

No complaints on the brand though. No serious breakdowns, just some shipping damage, and then a brainless moment on my part.

For the residential work I do, I think it is a good first machine.

One More Thing...

I compromised and spent on hot water instead of GPM, and that has helped a great deal in Nebraska where spring and fall days may be warm, but the mornings begin with frost and freezing temps.

I couldn't consider myself in business without hot water.

I voted C-Tech, since that is the current owner of Tuff.

I have a hydroblaster GHO series, good machine easy to work on and well built. The only prob with that model is the huge footprint. The GOVS models are very nice also and well built. In the past I have had Elite, landa, hotsy, alkota, ramteq, aladdin and some others I cant remember. Most I didn't care to deal with for a second time for one reason or another. The best ones I delt with were aladdin and hydoblaster and the elite skid was very durable but they went out of business. However the design lives on in about 15 different companies.

dry steam

about 280 degrees about a drop of water every 2 second or so dripping from gun, i use it all the time when thawing pipes with insulation wraped around it-prevents insulation from beingwater -logged

We do not use a conventional pressure washer. We built our own. Able to control flow rate from 1 GPM to 11.8 GPM at a constant 5000 psi with 2.2 million BTU's.

Powered by a 3.3 liter turbo diesel. The unit is driven by Hydraulics. No belts are used.

Second one to follow by next week hopefully.

When I owned a hot water skid, it was an Epps. Should I ever need another hot water skid, I would consider another Epps, if for nothing other than it's intense heat! 18HP Kohler 5.2GPM@3000PSI General Pump 414,000BTUs:cool: It was great for flatwork, but it was a bit much inside a hood.

Not my first choice for a surface cleaner, but it works.
