Somebody stole my surface cleaner off my trailer.The thing was a month old and worked like a dream.

I told the cop that gave me my report that I hope they get a call of a man down from a hose blowing out and cutting his jugular.

I hate a thief.I kinda wished we would import some of that middle eastern justice, if you steal we cut off your hand.:mad: :mad:
 
I was giving an estimate in a neighborhood where the houses start at a million and go up.

It was a turn around cul-de-sac where the houses are off the road and this lady had about a 1/4 mile long driveway and I couldn't get the trailer in and out so I fugured I would just walk my fat but down ther and it cost me 500 bucks fore that little stroll.

The cop advised it could have been some private school kids that just steal for thrills and throw the items away.
 
Call the pawn shops Tues. Not as a ripped off guy but as a buyer. One of my sons works on my truck and makes fun of me because of the way I insist on parking so I can see the truck and trailer when we work downtown or eat lunch. I'm old school, between trucks and motorcycles if I can't see it I won't stop or I make him stay in the truck. Sounds like an unlikely place to get ripped off. I too hate thieving SOB's.

sorry to hear about that man. i was afraid of that when i started my business, so i purchased an enclosed trailer, it kinda sucks having to go in and out, but the whole thing has to be stolen if anything. Also it rocks for a moving billboard!! Theft sucks though, hope they catch the culprit, or at least you recover!
 
It could happen to any of us. Scary that it happened like that though. Ours gets parked in the garage at night, but who knows if you are doing a residential job and you are around the back of the house someone could jack anything quick. I guess we all should invest in a bicycle pad lock, that could deter them a bit.
 
Hate to hear of anyone getting ripped off ....Thats one reason I store my high dollar equipment in my extended van till I need it......
 
Ive always been paranoid about people walking off with my things, when i'm doing jobs that i don't need certian things like a SC i try to leave it home.. I also have one of those soild master locks for the tongue of the trailer..Ive put my SC in the truck and my wands when i go in stores and know i wont be out for a little bit. It could happen to any of us anytime anywhere people don't care.. The other day someone stole one of my water hoses from the back of my truck while i wasn't there, thank god i didn't have any other equipment in there
 
Years ago when I was working at an engineering firm I came out to my truck to go to one of the job sites and I saw someone had broken into my truck, stole my radio and other electronic devices. I'm working while he's ripping me off. Cost me $500 for the deductible and more on top of that because the other electronics weren't insured because they weren't a part of the vehicle itself. I had to go around and around with the insurance company. I went around and around with the body shop for not doing the job correctly and also messing up my dash bezel (that they had replaced because the thief broke it initially). It was a major headache that went on for many weeks.

Three months ago someone stole four fishing rods out of the bed of my truck.

A few weeks ago someone stole my work boots that were in front of my own garage.

I know what it's like to have someone steal you stuff. I know what it's like to have someone trash your stuff. However, hoping this person has his jugular cut sure is harsh. You should lighten up a bit. I understand the frustration, but chill.

Chill? Yeah your right it's not their fault they steal it's mine for leaving it right?

They probably had a bad childhood or maybe they have a disease that makes them steal stuff.If I find them I will tell them to call you and you can help them thru their issues

It's no wonder this country is where we are, we shouldn't wish bad on theives.We should get them government assistance for their problems right?

You're angry, therefore you're misunderstanding the point I was trying to get across.

Let me be a bit more blunt.

I know what you're feeling. I had a whole lot more than $500 worth of stuff stolen from my truck.

I know it sucks. I'm not saying that these are good people. I'm not saying it's your fault. You should be able to leave your truck running with the door open. You should be able to leave your house doors open at night. Unfortunately we don't live in a society that affords us these things. These are dirt bags. You know it. I know it.

However, and here is my point: Being so angry and so upset to wish his/her jugular to be cut only hurts you. That's not using your anger in a constructive way, it's using it in a destructive way. I'm not saying to not be angered. Anger isn't always a bad emotion. What you do with that anger is what makes it good or bad. Channel your anger and make it work for you and not against you.

Give me a break. I'm just telling you to chill out a little so that your anger doesn't HURT you. I'm not concerned about them. You really do need to chill. I'm not the dirt bad that stole from you. I'm the guy that told you to relax a little so that your anger doesn't eat you from the inside out.
