I have my commercial auto with them as well.
I filed a claim earlier this year when a tree fell on my truck and took out the hood, grill, fender, headlight and scratched up my bumper.
Great to deal with. Even paid for a rental on a full size truck so we could keep working.
(Rentals might be included most policies?)

I know I'll be paying for it in the long run though....

Dear UAMCC Member,

Our agency will soon be releasing several changes for the UAMCC membership regarding our national power wash liability program underwritten by Joseph D Walters Insurance.
First of all, these enhancements will not be available to you until the anniversary renewal date of your policy. We will not apply credit mid term or when your next payment is due. And we will not rewrite any policy to obtain credits.
Second, We will be offering credits to help reduce premiums for exceptional clients showing good experience. The total available credit can be up to 25% depending on several other factors. This is NOT an additional 25% discount. Please keep in mind that there is only so much credit available. The pot is only so big and 25% is maxed out all in credit.
Fact is, many of you are getting discounts already because of your good experience. So don’t expect a full 25% additional credit.
The coverages and benefits in our plan are rich and the premiums are extremely competitive. That’s why we renew 97% of our clients.
In the past ,our position on underwriting was to Not give full credit to a new guy in business. Why you say? Because statistically a new guy does not have as much experience as a contractor that’s been in business for 3 years or more.
So once we obtain a client and he goes claim free the renewal policy usually has some credits applied and each year we adjust the credits according to experience of the program and the individual.. But as you know, most every insurance company increases rates at renewal. That’s out of my control. I don’t care what type of insurance you have, it’s inevitable that rates go up.
Going forward we will entertain more credits for a new start up. We want to try and help the new guy as much as possible.
Third,we will be offering a discount for prepaying your total premiums in advance. That will be an additional 10 % discount.
Lastly, I have coverages that I’m going to try to obtain on your behalf, but honestly you already have a great plan priced extremely competitively.
I’ve heard all sorts of rumors about our proposed new plan and most information going around is just not accurate, or true.
I thank you all for your business. If you should have any questions, please give us a call at any time.
I will have word next week and announce the enhancements and changes.
Best Regards

PS. Remember, the biggest benefit of our Pressure wash program is that you are NOT audited. That’s a huge benefit.

Just curious if this is the same with the PWRA members. I know the UAMCC has been working on this for sometime now.

Phil, I had Accident Fund for 2 years and they dropped us because they wouldn't carry coverage on anyone who cleans roofs anymore. I guess the 2 roofs a year we get was too much for them.
Glad they still like you.

The question remains are PWRA guys getting the same deal as we the UAMCC members or are they getting the whole 25% discount. Just curious

PWRA discount is 35% if you pay the premium upfront and 25% if you do installments.

So being a PWRA member you get the whole discount 25% if paid installments

Did the PWRA members get the same email. Same content with different orgs.

I'm not sure about emails but that's what the representative for JW said in Nashville. He never mentioned anything about credits or a savings UP TO 25%.
Might be a good idea to investigate and make sure it's an apples to apples situation.

No insurance deal Im working on is exclusive , it's going to be better for all contractors.

Details coming like all the great benefits here!

If Joe walters wants to make UAmCc better that's his business.

Oct event San Diego free free text me for more details !!

Not trying to bash JW here but I am wondering like I have been for many years now (call them every other year to see if they change their "flood zone" thing) why Joe Walters considers where I live a flood zone and does not offer an inland marine policy for my trailer rig and equipment where the 3 companies I have used since January 2004 has had an inland marine policy on my equipment and did not know what I was talking about when I mentioned the flood zone as the reason the other company would not insure my equipment.

That and Nationwide and State Farm has given me both the business policy and coverage for equipment for about $400 less per year than Joe Walters business policy only. Just wondering why that is?
