I have moved to the 24' steel eagle and love it. I have the brushes as they will allow bolts that are tall enough to hit a tip through them. The steel eagle and others have a long enough shell that the bolts are not going to get into them and if they do they are not going to be tall enough to hit a tip. Its just preference to be honest.

I have 2 of the Mosmatic's, but if your wanting to walk real fast probably won't happen with the Mosmatic. I like mine, but everyone speaks very highly about the Classic
Does your mosmatic have wheels on it.

get a 24" SC no bigger than that. Prefeb. a 20" with a fast swivel if you walk fast.

Hammerhead buy two for the price of a classic!

Are you using hot water?

:thumbup2:

Whats the pricing on the hammer head. looking at the drawings for the hammer head its the same design as the BE's Whirlaway. The probably make it for them.

As for choices lawnboy, dueblin swivel SC 1st choice, mosmatic/whisper wash 2nd, whirl away 3rd.

I have a mosmatic it is good, swivel weeps on occasion but it is not a seal failure and the nice thing about it, the leak is visible to the operator from the top.

I got my 20 in. Hammer Head on sale for $289.00. I think they usually go for around 400. No complaints on mine yet.

I've had 3 Hammerhead's. I've been pretty happy with them. I've bought mine for right around 350 bucks. I consider them almost disposable. They're a great back up surface cleaner too.

As for the Hydrotek ANT3 - I notice the spraying arm is much smaller then most other spraying arms. I believe the ANT3 is rated to 8 GPM, but in reality can it push 8 GPM?

I push 9 GPM through my ANT3's @ 3500 PSI No Problem, except keeping it from taking off like a flying saucer. When using the water broom you realize you have muscles you haven't used in a while @ 9 GPM.

Thanks for the info, I think I am going to get the Whisper wash classic.

About those swirl-lines left by the surface cleaner...
…you want to go fast ? ...you need more volume.
Otherwise, the "band-aid" is wider nozzle spray.. got 15's ? …use 25degree nozzles.
But, a wider spray pattern is less impact on the surface.. less clean.
Pressure is your BEST friend to a point …4000 to 4500 psi max.
Pressure is what removes debris from the surface. Volume is work-speed.
Here's some info for the rest of you too...
You know a surface cleaner is 50% faster than a wand for flatwork.
Well, a Vacuuming Surface Cleaner is ANOTHER 50% faster...
You don't have to rinse what you loosened. It sucks everything up as you go !
The "perfect" surface cleaning system is like this...
A 21" surface cleaner "comes to life" with 4 to 5gpm at 3500 to 4000 psi. You can enjoy
a "Lawnmower's pace" for workspeed with 5gpm with 25 degr. nozzles.
If you only have 3000 psi, for a quality-clean, you'll have to slow it down with 15degree nozzles.
And if you go over 5.5 or 6 gpm with a vacuuming version surface cleaner, you loose the ability to capture the water.
The right Vacuum System makes the most efficient combination for your 5gpm 4000psi system...
An electric vacuum can run our SC21V at 100 ft ! = a "compelling demo" !!
...5000 psi will allow you to go FASTER, just don't go over the 5gpm, or
you'll need to get a gasoline engine vacuum system ... to be really impressed.

Glad to help !

Thanks Jerry so those "TSP" pumps from general pump should kit it on the 21" SC with 5.5 at 5000.

How much more vacuum you need if you ran 8 gpm in the 21 SC?

Nigel,
of the 5.5@5000's ..I think I prefer the General on this one too..
they have the 3/4" inlet for tank-feed systems. Dual feed will make the pump seals last too.
I'm bummed about the AR version.. SXMA ..the inlet is 1/2" for pressure feed only,
and the TW by Comet has the same issue.

anyway, the vac required for 5.5@5000's w/200 ft Vac-hose.. =13hp
and an 8gpm system .. =16hp
now there's a sweet demo to do!
and the Vacuuming Surface Cleaner is going down in price shortly too.
