Who is the largest Pressure cleaning company?

Retailone is publicly traded on the exchange.

Daryl & Company just bought facilatec.

Then we have Fleetwash…..????

We also have old Lance Winslow……

Mike Hindilaiter & delco have a wash network……for fleets…HUMMMMM??? HOW large is it? Nationwide?????

All the above companys are nationwide outfits.

How many others are there and how large are they………???? Forbes only has one listed. The only one above I have found is public is Retailone….. The others are under LLC and other umbrellas.

Fat Albert is the biggest hood cleaner I know. 375 POUNDS AND NO SIGN OF LETTING UP.;)

Somethings are not meant to be said in public!

Grant, I drove right by you last week. Close to LA International. Nice sign i could see that thing from a Mile away.

Alan, i dont know a Barry, whats the name or Barry's company?

Grant, Where do you stand in the LA MArket? Thats a large market with lots of MOM & pop shops.

In this industry I would be taking a guess but i would tend to believe small independants contractors out number the big boys 100-1 maybe larger.

Grant, its not and bad thing others have built more successful and stronger businesses. The people mentioned above are proud i'm sure of there companys. Maybe we can learn from them and research there success and failers.

I Know Grant your in the mode that certain things cant be said on others BBS. Your on PWI right now and we can talk and say what we want here. (provided it does not harm or attack anyone)

We stand tall in the LA market.
There are a bunch of mom & pops but I don't think there are 100:1 maybe more like 30:1 and of the 30 only 10 have a recognizable name and of those 10 maybe 3 with a good reputation.
I love watching other companies, both more successful national companies and less successful local ones. A lot can be learned from both. We have bought out others when the timing is right, thier failure =our success.

Ron, the next time you are reading my sign, why don't you stop by? Call me to make sure I'm in and we can grab lunch and have a mini roundtable!

Call me first! I am in and out all the time. But I will plan on being available when you are in town.

It looks to me like Fleetwash is probably the biggest pressure washing company. I would think that Facilitec is the largest exhaust cleaning company and Firemaster/Siplex/Grinell/Tyco is right behind them. I know that Facilitec does flatwork but I dont know how big that part of their operation is. I'm sure you will start to see them seeping in to your market pretty soon Ron. I'm not sure how many restaurant you do but you will never be able to compete with someone (pricewise) that can offer the flatwork
(sidewalk, dumpster, drive through, floors) and exhaust cleaning in one package.

Matt, I was thinking it was Retailone... they do home depot walmart and safeway nationwide. we have done some joint stuff, things they dont mess with helping there customers. it amazes me how much waist these guys have. I was at there shop a few weeks back and they had hose that could fill a dumpster up piled next to the shop. some of the hose looked brand new. I said you guys have more hose than i've see at the good year plant. the mang said when it breaks we throw it there. they dont even make and attemped to repair it. LOL

facilatech has been in phoenix since claim jumper came to town. they service about 10% of my customer base. I'm not worried because i have a well rounded customer base. I would starve relying on hosptality industry. I understand what your saying about these giants. I maintain good realationships with the right people.

Is it going to be Ducts Unlimited or Facilatec? Do you think there will be a slow transition one way or the other? Facilatec doesn't have a large part in the St. Louis market. Last word from an employee of them there was 4 exhaust cleaning vans and a couple of G2 guys.

The word on the street here is that Regan is out of business, anyone else hear about this?

I just heard that Regan died. Definitely tends to put you out of business.

Jon,
You are right - I actually drove to central America from Denver by myself. Round trip in 5 days. Whew! Now gotta rest for 5 days.
Richard

Ive always wanted to take the pan american highway to the canal zone, where I was born, and see the sights. But heard too many bad things happen on that road. Would never dream of doing it by myself in the best of circumstances.
( actually I was trying to make a joke based on your user name. Guess it didnt work.)

Ron,
That included one day to visit! It wasn't easy for an old guy - almost 400 miles per day. Denver to Kansas City - the central part of America.
Richard

I think that the truly Huge companies in this business offer other services or products to their customers, and I am not talking about a pressure washer distributorship. In all likelihood, the pressure washing ends up being a small sidelight to the other stuff that they do. Ideally they need to have somethign offered to them that is required for equipment for reliability, or mandated by government. Unfortunately, if budgets get tight, pressure washing is the first thing to go.
