I have never done them, but I have always thought that spraying them with a Quanternary formula, to continue killing the bacteria would be the most effective way to have a long lasting clean.
I wonder what happened to that HUGE company that used to do nearly everyones shopping carts? I have not seen them around for a while.
 
I've seen people pushing shopping carts around that needed cleaning, probably had fecal matter on them too.

And the carts could use a cleaning.:yes4:

Shopping cart cleaning in Middle TN.

I'm always concerned about this everytime I put my daughter in a buggy. I use the free sanitizing wipes like crazy but they only go so far.

I have been actually using a Towel to set in the Cart some have been so bad. The really bad thing is we put or food in these also, times I have noticed the basket is clean but the under side is natsy with grime.

Is that permanently, as in, never have to use it again, or permanently, as long as they continue to be maintained?
 
Permanently as in never have to apply again unless the surface is painted over

I noticed the other day that our local grocery store now has a roll of sanitary wipes next to the carts for people to use.

Thought that was a bit much.
