wastewater dumpage

Where in the world do you all dump your waste water? I live in Ny and use to dump it down the storm drain per boss, but didnt feel very good about it. I contacted local gov, like the epa ect and they just kept giving me to another person so on.

If you will contact your local sanitary sewer system administration they can inform you of the process you need to take to dump.......Some systems are run by the city and some are privatized out to companies.
They will prob require you to bring it to the plant and before you dump run a PH test on it........I work for a waste water treatment plant and thats how we handle septic tank trucks......we run the ph test and they dump in a manhole out in front of the plant.
Every city will be different.
Do not get caught dumping in either a sanitary sewer or a storm sewer.......not good if you get caught!

Whatever you do, never tell the EPA and City that you've ever dumped "waste water" into a storm drain.
You might want to edit your post and delete the potential incriminating comment.

I totally agree....I ment to say somethig about that!
The reason you dont need to dump in the sanitary sewer is because if you dump a toxic load and it disrupts the plant, they could break permit and be fined by the EPA...... they have to send reports weekly, and monthly to them to be compliant with their permits.

Question to ask you all if you dump down the sanitary sewer hod would the epa find out that you dump toxic load and disrupt the plant. I am talking on job site not going to the sewer plant I know at the plant they test your load and that.

Please see my thread I just started Drain Cleaner = Caustic

Ways the EPA know you have dumped......1. someone see's you and reports you to them.
2. They actually see you themselves.
3. the plant starts tracking where the problem is coming from.........would have to happen several times for them to do this and would take some time to find you.
4. City worker see you dumping!!!!! this is the most probable of all.

What toxins are you talking about? You mean like Caustic? Like this hot mix which is packaged and sold specifically to be poured down the drain?

Where are all the plumbers and homeowners who have been tracked down by the water plant?

Also, do a search for what water treatment plants use to adjust the PH.

Somebody is feeding all of us a bunch of BS.

Not disputing you Tony,,,,I am on our side......I am just trying to voice what I think they are thinking.
They are looking at it on a lot larger scale than me or you dumping 50-100 gals of reclaim waste.......but it is affecting us...
The only answer I know is we have to be involved when the regulations are being set up for our town that we live in.

That is what me and Russ have been working on together. That way when it comes we can have our ducks in a row to be able to defend our side intelegently

That's good. You guys need to bust up some beads right there in front of the city council with your bare hands. JUST DON'T GET NERVOUS and start sweating!!:p :p

It is crazy though.....take 5 minutes next time your in Lowe's and look at whats in the other boxes of chemicals......like the root killer,,,,,its crazy.
the ones that are really hurting themselve are the ones with septic tanks. Dumping that in there every week....lol
before long the water is running out under the sink case it has eaten there pipes off the bottom of the sink

Licensing will solve the caustic waste water situation, see if you pay for your license you won't dump dirty water anymore and the fish will live and global warming will be reversed.
