UAmCc Announcement

The UAmCc has taken its first significant step in advancing the organization for the pressure washing industry. The UAmCc Transition Team over the last couple of months has had numerous conference calls in which strategy, direction, policy and the transition of the organization was discussed, scrutinized and acted on. In conjunction with this we also held one-on-one discussions with contractors as it relates to the spirit and direction that the new organization has embarked on. Conference calls were also done with distributors to first of all acknowledge their presence in the industry and also to discuss the new UAmCc initiative as it relates to having an organization created by contractors for contractors. I would like to applaud all that has been involved in our discussion as of today. Needless to say many more discussions with many more individuals involved will be necessary for the UAmCc to continue to explore ideas and suggestion that best serve the pressure washing contractor.

The UAmCc BBS www.uamcc.org/forum went live and will serve as one of the primary vehicles that you the contractor are encouraged to utilize to convey your suggestions and ideas about the benefits you would like to see in the UAmCc organization.

The Transition Team and I are very excited about the future and prospects of the organization. We are looking to power wash contractors to participate in this endeavor. The collaboration from contractors on the UAmCc BBS will form the nucleus of the specific benefits that the UAmCc will offer to its membership base. You as a member of the organization will be privy to the UAmCc business plan in the near future and subsequent documents i.e. by-laws, financial statements. You the contractor will contribute and finalize the UAmCc Business Plan. More on that in the near future

The UAmCc Transition Team members all have a keen sense of what the new UAmCc is and will be about ~ an organization by contractors for contractors. Each transition team member has been a true advocate in ensuring that this new initiative is anchored with the realization that the contractors needs must remain in the forefront. I agree with that ideology and this is the direction we have plotted out from day one.

I would like to say “hats off” to Terry, Ken and Michael – members of the UAmCc Transition Team for their tireless efforts and time thus far. They have kept me anchored in this "transition" and the new UAmCc would not be where it is at today if it was not for their involvement and business aptitude! Even though today’s announcement is the first of many steps the industry must take in order to complete this "transition" we are off to a great start!

The New UAmCc is about providing direction, education and most importantly representing the contractor - get involved!!

Great job and nice press release. Glad PWi could offer the first lift off.

I only have one interest in your organization, that the eviro program is written correctly and responsibly.

I do not want to see further contractors and customers being hurt or put out of work in order for other to sell devices such as reclaimation equipment when other methods can be obtained first.

I hope that your actually have a consultant from a proffessional firm read your recomendations and put and approval on it. This would also take some liabilitys off the membership.

Good luck, cant wait to see the business plan.

Thank you Ron for your kind words. We are looking forward to yours and others suggestions/recommendations over on the UAmCc BBS.

Carlos, if i could do it all over again. I would make every user have positive ID.

I tried to get the PWNA BBS when we started to have a seperate BBS fee. No membership but a fee associated with just the BBS.

The banner program i got started on PWNA site was very successful and was reasonable. Its was like 33 a month year minimum.

Ken & Carlos, Please use your full names. You guys are the BOD members.

If you truly want to blow this BBS up, Make it real. Make everyone use there names and company name.

That was my biggest mistake with PWI and we have struggled since the begining.

Also keep this in mind, most cat fights always start over a non id member.

Make the IP availiable to all, this way you never get accused of BS posting or fake name using.

Carlos & Uamcc, congrats I hope it goes great for the industry. I will be watching to see what is offered. I commrend your efforts, more than I would ever want to tackle

.Ken, Mike & Carlos are all good men, who I know a little bit. I commend Carlos & the bunch for trying to get this going. I believe them when they say this is for the contractor

May I make a suggestion, you 3 are good men and are more in the residential side of washing. I would suggest that Ron M & other commercial guys be used for suggestions & help on the commercial side/part of the org. We all know Ron knows flatwork, but Ron knows a whole heck of a lot about a lot of the industry. I can call Ron anytime with a question and he usually has an answer or an idea how to solve any question.

I also know Ron has concerns about the enviro stuff and all the reclaim etc and I know he's an advocate for making sure things are done right, without the bias ofa distributor.

I'm not saying put Ron on the BOD or anything and I know he rubs some the wrong way at times in his post. but if I was the uamcc I would ask for his advise on the commercial & inviro stuff

Good luck Carlos & UAMCC Baby steps, can't build Rome in a day

Ron, as a matter of fact I am going to add a section on environmental issues (under the commercial pressure washing section). This will be a great section for you to write some articles or address some industry issues you have come accross.

If anyone has more suggestions as to changes to the BBS or direction of the org in general, we have a forum where you can voice your feedback there as well in the category "Suggestion Box"

Thanks for the kind words and well wishes!

Thanks, Matt! Its up to the industry now. Guys, join the board. Just about everyting we lay down for this thing is going to be guided by your suggestions over the next few weeks.

I truthfully want to join the BBS, I truly want to join a bbs that each and every person is real.

No handles, numbers and company info.

We are trying and have been weeding this out here. I'm just tired of fake internet junkys that run around proffessing they invented PW.

Ken, this is a mistake doing it any other way.

Good luck, I'll probably sign up.

New Org

Good luck to all of the transition team of the Uamcc. With the years of experience and proven track records of these individuals, it is sure to be a successful organization with a well defined purpose and direction.

Again, On behalf of the NYPWC members, Contractor Education Services and Pressure Washing Services Inc., we all wish you all the best.

Mathew,
Thank you for the kind words. Our members will make the new UAMCC work.

Congrats to Carlos and the UAMCC Transition team for getting to this point with the UAMCC. Your tireless efforts have not gone unnoticed. This is an organization that I plan on staying with to keep marketing with my business. The marketing aspect alone is so valuable especially considering how much it "only" cost to join these orgs. I joined another org for just $100/yearly and of course I'm still debating on continuing my membership with an org I was heavily involved in. The marketing of these orgs for me is the key.

Best of luck!!!!!!!!

Guys, you make the BBS real, I would give press.

Here Why, Mike H & I built the PWNA bbs up to be number one. When PWI was on top. Only to have them close it because of problems with people and BS.

I just dont want to see you guys follow this same mistake.

i know you guys were not around when the PWNA was started and you may feel its very different times. I know the faults, truly i do not want to see you make the same mistakes.

John,
Great remarks. I totally agree that marketing is one of our larget problems. The UAMCC is a membership based organazation. We will pursue the wants of our members. Marketing has always been close to my business heart. As a transition member, we want to hear from everyone about their needs. Marketing will be high on the list. Thank you.
