Trenches

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to minimize the trenches along foundation walls after foundations have been powerwashed. Also, does anyone have a weed killer or some answer to making the line of green at the bottom of the foundation where it meets the grade go away by the time you leave the jobsite and by the way I have used bleach it dosen't work quick enough for me. One more question pavers and splash blocks with grass coming up in between or around whats the answer to cleaning these without digging up your customers yard.

For the pavers and splash blocks just use a steady hand. If that doesn't work for you use a section of plywood and lay it along the edge of the surface your cleaning. Small statues can also be place on top of the plywood also for cleaning.

For the ditches next to the foundation.. This is going to sound stupid but if I ever get a bad one I just back up and blow some dirt/ mulch at it then gently rinse down the siding.
I've only had to do this once!

I have done a few patios where the grading is off and water ponded on the surface or leaked onto it from the grass once it was clean. Usually I chat with the customer and tell them they need to adjust their grading so the water can run off the surface. This will also cut down on mildew and in some cases, basement leaks. If the customer agrees I take a zero degree tip and cut a slice or channell in the dirt and grass that allows the water to run off the surface. Within a week the grass will grow back over the area but there will still be a slight channel or depression for water to run off through.
