Storing Chemicals/Stain in the winter

Where do you people who live in the cold weather regions store your chemicals and stains in the winter to keep them from freezing?

I store my cleaning chemicals in the my basement in the winter to keep them from freezing. I do this because of the possible seperation that can happen to them because of freeze which would prevent them from working to there full capacity come spring.

As far as stain/sealers the cans that have not been open I keep them in my garage thru-out the winter because they are oil base stains/sealers and I don't think it gets cold enough here to freeze them. Could be wrong about this but I never had a problem in the past. I also have an extra 100 gallons of sealer in my garage that is left over from this year and its to much to bring in my basement. Especially because I have an apartment in my basement and my tenant smokes which is bad enough.

So where do you guys/gals store your vitals in the winter?

Dang John.
What did you call the doors so that they would stay hot all winterr long?? Oh, maybe you insulated them.

John,
Before I got a heated garage I would run a kerosene heater during the real cold days. just keep far enough away from any flammables.

I would also recommend a thermometer in your storage area. This will monitar the temperture inside also for you.
