Scotch Tape On Vynil Siding

I'll be washing a white vynil house for a sweet elderly lady next week. Generally speaking I have no problem with the house wash. But every Christmas, transparent tape is used to attach decorations to the front of the house. The tape has never been removed. What is the best way to get this stuff off with no residue? Denatured alchol? Ascetone?

IMHO

Stay away from acetone on vinyl! you might melt the vinyl.

Personally I would try a delimonene type cleaner on the tape residue.

A little Goof Off on a rag will wipe the tape residue right off. Then wash the house as usual.
