J Jhignutt New member May 3, 2005 #3 Since I havent got to much reponse here maybe i will throw a few things out there for you guys to say yes or no. Someone was raving about lysol and rust so i may try this or iron out or CLR. Have not done the job yet still waiting on a response.

R R L S New member May 3, 2005 #4 Try some oxalic acid. It will for sure take off the rust. Most likely wont hurt the shingles far as I know. Richard
