Rhinoguard

I have someone that has with what they say is Rhinoguard siding. If someone know about this would you wash with a regular house wash? He claims that the mfg told him to use TSP to clean.

I have no experience with this but didn't want you to think you were being ignored. I did a simple Google on "rhinoguard siding" and came up with a lot of hits.

The website www.rhinoguard.com appears to have gone dark. The registration of the URL is expired. I would guess that the company is defunct.

There is a single complaint that appears on several web sites about the product. There is no way to tell if the complaint is factual. According to the complaint, the product encourages mold growth. Again, no way to know if this is factual. If the complaint is true, that might indicate a raw linseed oil sealing product.

I am assuming that this is wood siding with a coating on it called RhinoGuard. If I were you, I would avoid using either sodium-hydroxide or sodium hypochlorite (bleach) in your house-wash mix. Either might strip the rhinoguard finish off (if it really is an oil-based sealer as I mentioned earlier). Actually, TSP is also a strong caustic chemical and could also strip the finish off. Be careful what you try, because once you damage a surface that property owner will probably want you to fix it. That is how a $250 house-wash job can turn into a $3500 strip-and-seal court case.

Again, no personal experience or absolute knowledge. Just guesses. Good luck!
