$$$$ Question...

Hey Everyone.....
I was recently given the opprutunity to wash a couple of car dealerships inventory...anyway they said we could do the job if we did each car for $1.75. I have always been in commercial flatwork and residential decks and never looked into this part of the business. The work would be for about 100 cars in each lot. and done once a week. My question is ...has anybody here done car lots, and is it worth the time to spray the cars off for a $1.75 a car.

Sorry if it is a stupid question...however, I won't touch my truck with the pressure washer, thus I have no idea how they turn out and what kind of time is involved in this work.

Thanks for any help.

I ONCE NEW A MAN WHO WASHED ABOUT 3,000 CARS PER WEEK. FOR CAR DEALERS HE CHARGED $1.OO PER CAR IN THE DALLAS FORT WORTH ARES, I'VE HEARD SOME ARE CHARGING .85 CENTS

SO $1.75 MIGHT BE A GOOD PRICE, I STAY AWAY FROM CAR LOTS
MYSELF, THEY CALL FROM TIME TO TIME I JUST TELL THEM I DONT DO CAR LOTS, THERE DUM FOUNDED WHEN I TELL THEM THAT.

Jared,
I talked to a guy in Austin, TX that was washing two large dealerships inventory monthly. He said they were washing 10-12,000 cars a month at $1.00 each. He had a three man crew including himself. Two guys washed with brushes on handles and he would come behind and rinse with dionized water. No drying!
They had a 13 hp Honda 3000 psi 4.0 gpm cold washer mounted in a 5'x8' trailer with the di unit.
I am sure he was only using 600-700 psi though.

Thanks For the INFO ....sounds like if you do it right then there is nothing to it.
Thanks again
Jared
