Its just tough from the outside watching how much this organization has changed. I never would have envisioned this to happen like this when I first got involved with the PWNA back in 99-00. I know- to many -I'm beating a dead horse with this stuff.. For them don't read this.. I also know that there are others who do not show up up listed on this bb that do see my post whether it be through copying and pasting or going online under a different alias. I've been called to the carpet by them as recently as a few months ago and its those people that I direct these post towards..
Everett was an excellent communicator when he first got on the PWNA BOD and quickly rose through the ranks.. Now that he is at the top of the PWNA..nothing!!!
We use to have a hard copy of the PWNA "Water Works" short mag to go along with the Cleaner Times Magazine we are still receiving today(Even though I'm hearing we may soon lose the CT mag as part of our Benny for being a PWNA member) We use to have 2 conventions a year which was cut down to one because it was a better fit. We had a very active internet bulletin board with many participants along with some PWNA board of directors also engaging in 0n some of the online discussions..Everett himself even hosted a couple of online powerwashing Chat rooms. We had close to 500 members with 600 members to be our goal when Paul Horsley was the PWNA President. We had plenty of committee;s with big plans and dreams with some of them could and should have been attained.
Then along comes the Alliance school winning one of the biggest PWNA contracts. I don't bring his name much in these type conversations but I'll say it here briefly to help explain this story some...Pete Marentey who is a part owner of Alliance as Everett is has told us he is going to resign which he did. That was a sad day because I think Pete took some of us wrong but he did the right thing by doing so. Everett on the other hand offered to resign which we rejected. There is a big difference from Pete who's resignation was an absolute and Everett's was not. So soon after the Alliance wins this contract. Truth be told since I was on a committee about that just about all the other offers were half assed put together to the point I believe my wife could have put together a short manual and bid and even win it and she has no educational knowledge on the courses that where put out to bid..It was a joke. Alliance had it so easy on winning there bid and if they didn't it would have been pathetic considering what they were up against. Everett on the other hand because he elected to stay on at the PWNA pres elect he put the org and himself in an Unethical situation. This was not good but Everett rolled the dice and WON.
Contracts being what they are they all expire. If I was interested in winning a bid for one of those classes I would look into seeing when they expire..but personally I have no interest there.
So as today I am so past the Alliance/PWNA connection. That is a closed book as far as I'm concerned.
As for the Legacy team lead by Michael Beaudry once again he made a good move winning the management team bid. He had one formidable opponent in this but Michael was so much more prepared. Initially I remember Mike saying what a mess where in and he was having second guesses about continuing on as our Management team leader. You see the PWNA was bleeding cash before Mike came aboard and they continued to do so afterwords.
Mike has a sweet deal of a contract with the PWNA that pays his company a decent amount as in a monthly salary. On top of that he gets a % of any new PWNA members he signs up along with some other perks...This should have been a win win for the PWNA because for one thing it would drive the Legacy team to sign up more members so they can make more money but more importantly it would have given the PWNA more members which also means more Money for the PWNA to give back Bennie's to its members. This was the Grand Plan and like I am with Alliance I am also the same with Legacy..I'm past all of that.
So where does that lead us..Right to Everett!!! Apparently the Legacy team is not getting enough new members to sign up and with the old membership jumping ship like crazy from what I'm hearing there is now at most 112 currently paid members. This looks bad for the Legacy team because it looks like there just making money from that monthly salary they draw and I don't even so much fault Mike Beaudry for this because his boss is Everett along with other BOD's but its basically Everett. Under Everett's watch the PWNA's reputation has imploded and its not pretty. Under Everett's watch we no longer have Conventions scheduled, No up to date PWNA President messages,No active PWNA message board, Possibly even the end of our Cleaner Times benefit and flat out a ton of confidence and respectability gone right out the door. A few people have told me that Everett does not return phone calls or responds to emails...The stories about him are getting ugly.
It looks like Everett is resting on his laurels. Yes he made it to the top so why should he do anymore?? WHY? Well if thats the attitude he has taken then he has lead us astray and he is killing this org. When I say in the beginning here that I never envision the PWNA ending up like this what I was really saying was that I never ever thought Everett would end up like this as our leader.. He should just suck it up and come out of hiding and show himself here and everywhere. He should say what he has to say and then let others fire away with there unanswered questions...He needs some serious good PR and if it cost him to stick his neck out then he should just do that and take some lumps for it...Thats what Good leaders do. Put it on the line and go for it. Everett needs to change his ways because they are NOT WORKING. An org that is down 80% in the short time that Everett took over is like a death sentence..Some of us back in the day should have picked up on the way Everett was going to lead by when he took his first Board Call as the acting President because Paul Horsley was out of the country and within minutes Jim Grady a past IWCA president and one of the stars of that org resigns in the first couple of minutes into that call. We were all shocked as was Everett...but looking back now that sends volumes of what was happening and what will happened to get were we are today...Sinking and sinking fast and how deeply saddened I am to see this happen and to be totally helpless in trying to right this ship..
I turned into what others have felt all along,...there not getting enough for there membership...difference then was I was paying $175 where today I'm paying $350 and getting even less... a true tragedy in the Organization world with this one being the PWNA.
