pressure pro losing water volume

I have an 8 gpm 3500 psi hot water pressure pro machine hot water with 350 hrs on it. Recently I have began to notice that a good bit of water is going back through the bypass hose back into my water tank even when I have the trigger on the wand pressed. This is obviously causing me to lose a good bit of water volume. Do I need to replace the unloader or is something else causing the problem? My pump is a general ts-2021.

Have you simply tried to adjust the unloader? Start it up,..and with the trigger engaged,..slowly turn the knob clockwise,..or have someone else turn and see if that changes the pressure and by-pass flow?

Could be a coil blockage like Ralph said. Could be a partially clogged injector, worn trigger gun, wrong nozzle...or a bad unloader. Got a gauge? It would tell you a lot.

350 hours is not horrible for an unloader, at least in my world. It is probably time to replace it.

I had the same problem with the Hydrotek that used to be on my truck. It was at Jerry's shop one day and they happen to notice it so they replaced the unloader, problem solved. I just finally sold that machine to a friend of mine about 3 weeks ago.
