how in the world can u guys post pic's like that evertime i try it says tooooooo biggggggg ???? and it's smaller then the ones posted............huh ????

Dan S.

I have the same problem as you do, I sent mine to Ron and he was so jealous he made it so small you cannot see my handsome face but my dog shows up pretty good.

I know there is a way and I believe part of it is in the camera and part in the software we use, I am using the software that came with the camera, not really the best as it is a low level type of software.

What are you using as your photo editor?

I recall Beth mentioning a couple of truly good brands on that other board, think I will try to find it and copy it here for you. (ok for me too)

Dang it Jon, I thought your picture was the Dog.
I just could not figure that brown furry thing, as opposed to grey that it was holding.:D :D :D

it must be my program like Jon said.........i wish i was as smart as Bill Gates..........well i recken if i was i wouldnt be spraying h20 when it gets below zero....................... IT WONT BE LONG AND IT WILL BE SNOT CYCLE TIME.................

Jon...you mean Fireworks? It's by Macromedia. You can send me the file and I can do the same thing.....

Some file types are larger than others, and also the resolution has an effect on it. I have tried several application, some produced fair results (adobe) and after much ranting and hair pulling and griping I went ahead and downloaded the free 30 day trial, and that was it - hooked.

Try http://www.macromedia.com and see if Fireworks is still up there for a 30 day trial. But be warned, you'll love it and it's not inespensive. But it's the best thing I have seen so far.

Beth;)

you need an image compressor. try www.ulead.com. I think they have a free one you can download. Most photo editors will let you compress them too. One note though, the more you compress them the more quality you loose. Height and width doesnt matter, it's how many bytes the file size is that needs to be compressed.

If your trying to attach pictures then there's a limit to the file size 'coz then you'll be using up the site's space. Then you'd have to resize it to get it to a smaller file size.
You can also post pics by hitting the IMG button when replying. You just past the URL of the pic of its hosted somewhere online.
Load some pics up to a geocities site or something. They give about 6MB free I think.
