Nozzle Sizes

I have a 4.8 gpm 3500psi Landa. I want to use a 40 degree nozzle and get the maximum gpm. What size tip do I use? What are the effects of using larger sizes? What are the effects of using smaller sizes? (just talking about the 40 degree fan.)

Thanks

To achieve full gpm and psi, you would want a 40050 tip, sometimes shown as a 4050. Using a larger tip will allow you to reduce the pressure at the tip - without lowering the gpm's as would happen if you adjust the unloader. Using too small a tip will result in either a reduction of volume or cycling on/off of your pump as it tries to bypass the unused volume.

Thanks, I have experimented with different size tips, but it's hard to tell how much the size affects gpm.

Thanks again.

if you are worried about GPM why not buy a bigger machine?

The machine I'm using is more than adequate for what I'm doing. I just wanted to make sure I'm using it to it's full potential and not gagging it at the tip.

Today I bought a few size 6 tips and sent one guy out to try it. I'm waiting on him to come back and let me know how it went.

In the second video down from the top Labelled "Condenser Clean.." at 1:48 minutes shows what I am cleaning with this tip.
