Joe- You definitely know your stuff LOL..It may be gritty but some of the best restaurants in NJ are in Newark aka Brick City. Im there all the time.

In fact IMO (and i may get blow back on this) most of the best food in the country is between Boston & Phillie. Im not talking BBQ or Steak but I dont know how you florida transplants survive down there. There idea of good italian is Olive Garden or Pizza is Domino's.Lol. I call Florida & Arizona The Land of the Chain Restaurants!

Around here in a 5 mile radius there are prob 50-75 GREAT Family owned Pizza places and hole in the wall Italian joints along with the family owned Brazillian/Portuguese/Spanish Cuisine.

When your here Joe- call me

Yep Florida definitely isn't a food paradise. I just had a great prime rib after 6 years. Nj is really diverse so it reflects on the plate.
