New Hybrid Trailer...BUT

Mark 8262

Residential and Commercial Pressure Washing Specia
Drove 700 miles round trip today to pick up my new HYBRID trailer, and when I got there they had not built doors for the back of the enclosed portion of the trailer. There was some confusion between the manufacturer and the dealer. They are taking care of it and going to deliver it to me, but it was a little disappointing to not bring it home with me.

It is half cargo trailer and half utility trailer. I was happy with the way everything looked and I think I will be very happy with it once I get it set up. It's going to have 1 6gpm hot water, 1 5.6 gallon hot water, 1 7 gpm cold water, air compressor and pump for roof cleaning, 275 gallon tote and a couple of chem tanks and hose reels.

I had a door put on both sides and 2 vents in the top,

Mark that is a cool looking trailer. There not cheap but perfect for some uses in this industry. I lost a deal here where a guy was giving his hybrid trailer away for $1500 that was a little to long @22' but had a black box like yours that was only 5' in height and 10' long. That was what I was looking for but maybe 2' shorter in length. I wanted the Hybrid to lock up the Swabby in along with some other equipment and the Powerwasher for the Swabby along with some tanks and a vacuum set-up was to go on the open part. I needed the low height to get it into parking garages.

Hybrid trailers is a great way to go. What is the length of that trailer and was it a company in GA that built it? There's a company down there that has decent deals on the Hybrids.

I have been looking at these as well. The ones we have been looking at did not have a roof over the back part. Send us pictures when you get it all set up. Are you going to put your burner inside the enclosed area?

Were did you purchase it from/ Do you have a web site you can post?

It doesn't have a roof over the back. I had bars around the top in case I wanted to mount hose reels or use as a ladder rack. I am going to put the burners in the enclosed area. I had an extra vent put in the top and will crack the back doors when using the burners. I also had an extra side door added which should help with ventilation.

A friend of mine has a 22' foot trailer like that. He builds decks and fences with it. Tools up front and wood in the Back....Loves it.

I wanted one right up till I looked at the price.Still nice a nice rig though.

I think it's a good price. When you start looking at the cost of new enclosed trailers. This is 16' with 7 x 8 cargo trailer with a 3 ft v nose making it 7 x 11 and the utility trailer is 7 x 8. Tandem axles with brakes. The cargo trailer is 6' 4" tall so you can easily stand up inside. I had an extra door put on so it has one on each side and an extra vent on top. Plus I had the the bars added around the top for mounting hose reels or ladders. $3800 is tough pill to swallow, but needed to improve the image and protect the equipment

Oh I'm not bashing the price. It's a great price for what you get.It will be very eye catching also.

It's just not in the cards for me.

It does take away one of the biggest problems I have with enclosed trailers(Where to store the bleach).I was always leary of bleach being inside the trailer with all that equipment.

That trailer here new would run you over $5000 that's why I was looking probably at the same company Mark bought from. As for bleach we carry them in 5 gallon containers stored in the trailer. The most we carry is maybe 10 of those. There unopened. The open ones when the guys get back we take them out.

We did have some nice bleach spills in the trailer over the years and we never pour bleach in there. It's always done outside of the trailer because of the fumes.

As far as corrosion issues I deal with is equipment that's always outside and exposed to the weather even when we tarp it.

Very interesting. Never saw one before, thanks for sharing, price looks good too

Lol, at least you have pictures to give you an idea of what they are speaking of on this thread, when John first mentioned "Hybrid Trailer" on a TGS post, I was thinking the pump drive units could run on alternative energy sources. lol

The trailer setup should look great Mark.

Wow, Mark looks very cool, what are you putting on the out side, beside the tote and hose reels? Better when you are all set take a picture of it and post it or side it to me by email. It already stands out.

I'll post some pics next week. Probably be 2 chem tanks and 1 for roof mix, tote and surface cleaners. I think I am going to put in a spray in liner in the enclosed portion
