Anyone hear that by April 2010 you must be certified by the federal government to work safely with lead paint. Read below this sounds like it could get expensive!!! My buddy heads up paint sales for a local building supply company and was telling me about it. He said all contractors from painters to plumbers, electricians, carpenters all the trades have to be certified.
I'm wondering if pressure washing contractors fall under this new rule. He said he going to find out for me tommorrow. I guess if you are going to do work on a house that is pre 1978 you have to be certified. this is at the federal level not state so it's nation wide.
I'm being told Pressure Washing contractors fall under this rule.
