Most Residential Jobs

Hey guys, we have about a 6 month season up here. I just do residential House wash, Gutters, Decks, Window Cleaning and spider Spray. For those that just do residential- I was wondering what was your most successful season was and how many jobs you completed. I would like to get 150-200 jobs this next season.

150-200 is doable with enough advertising.
But unless your a veteran, (which I take it your not) its going to cost $$$!

I did 90 last March-July in my first year. That was learning on the fly. My advertising costs wound up at 9.5% of My Gross sales. Really planning to up the ante this year.

Yea I am only my 3rd yr in. Have a buddy that does marketing that is going to be helping me this next season. Would like to set some serious goals for 2010.

Did you not do alot of advertising before? After 3 years in I would imagine there would be a little W.O.M. coming your way and that would yield a decent amount of work in itself. WHich would then help you reach your goal without whole alot of advertising costs.
But demographics, marketing, type of clientele, quality work, and customer retaining all play a role in that as well.

Is it still a part time thing? Also, are you working alone? If so, I can't realistically see how you could do 150 - 200 in 6 months time. I know how the weather is up here, and that would be a stretch (especially for decks). I like the goal though. Set the bar high:smilewinkgrin:

I'll have about 120 in 2011, its been busy. I love it.

Deck stripping/sanding/staining seems to be in demand this season, takes much more time but I really enjoy it.

You said spider spray. Was that washing them down or a preventive? If preventive, what did you use.

I do spider spray after house wash. I am certified and license in pest control. For many customers, Just having a pest control program in place keeps them from having to wash there house every year. The spiders are nasty around here, lots of lakes. Can make your house look great for Halloween. lol

I wish I had that nightmare of a problem. Please give me some advice because I think I am doing something wrong lol. In fact I now know I am.
