LLV

I have been working this from last Sep
for the postal service. This account is worth over 120 k
the thing is I have been jumping hoops. All the stops are a good drive from my shop.First I bid then it came back for best offer. Now they want me to drive
out 2 hr to do a demo on one LLV. I guess they want to see how its done and how the waste water is pick up.And if I do drive that way I,m just in the running still.

What would you guy's do in this case

I know for a fact that postal (FED) is way strict on waste management. Not to mention they have an extreemly slow pay plan. I would spend more time marketing the average customers, we all know the Gov. never plays fair. More power to you though, if you land it, it may be sweet money. I'm just going by what many others who have steered me clear say :)

I thought the gov would pay anything under 10k per invoice via credit card???

Brandon, that is a cool looking truck, got any close up pictures of it?

I am trying for a flatbed truck this year.

What day of the week do they want the postal vehicles washed?

I have not seen them washed here locally.

Depends upon how often your doing them, how much per visit, and so the main factor is the pain in the rear factor. If it is more trouble then its worth, then let them know that and you are pulling your bid

Consider yourself lucky that you have only been working on it since September. We worked on it for over a year and a half before we were awarded the contract, and outside of a few additional locations we were awarded, we were just renewing a previous contract. We were supposed to be able to wash them every 2 weeks according to the contract which is what we priced them at. They came back and said this is what we're going to pay (obviously less than what we bid) and it will be once a month instead. Now that I see the news I am not surprised since they are having extreme financial difficulties as well. Sounds like they may be shut down on Saturdays now. Maybe a good day to wash them?!?!?

Federal law requires the postal service to pay within 30 days. After 30 days, they are legally obligated to pay interest.
As for working with them, and doing a demonstration. That is all part of the game. If you want the work, you have to make the investment.
