Large Metal Buildings Commercial Contract bidding

Hello everyone.

Been reading the forums for a long time now, but this is my first question to have to ask you guys. I have been asked to submit a bid for cleaning 3 large, corrugated aluminum sided, buildings at a local adhesives/ink manufacturer. There are 3 buildings with the dimensions being:

Admin/Warehouse building 197' x 122' x 24-29' (sloping roof on warehouse)
Ink building 175' x 75' x 20'
Adhesive building 75' x 60' x 70'

All that they want cleaned is the sides of the buildings, where there is moderate mold/mildew, and some rust stains. I have (or atleast I think I do) all the proper detergents to use (bleach/roofsnot/water for the mildew, and F9 BARC for the rust stains).

What I am really looking for is advice on how to bid this, as I dont want to over or underprice it. However, if I am wrong in the detergents to use, or there are any suggestions at all, I am open to anything. Im really hoping to have my business take off this spring. Im talking with Red about logo, flyers, yard signs etc, and just really want to get everything down pat.

Gene, I know your in the area, did you get a call for a bid on this as well? If so, I may as well not even waste my time! Haha.

Thanks in advance everyone, and happy cleaning

Called 4 times.....left 2 messages ....No return call....guess he does not need help or too busy to return calls.........Oh Well......

Depending how long you've been in business and what jobs you have under your belt,...you should be able to look at it and determine what it's worth for you to do it with your methods, equipment, labor etc,...

That's how I bid every job,.and have since day 1,.....What's it worth for ME to do it,.not what the industry standard may be,..especially considering the mount of variables on any given job.

When you use this simple method you won't have regrets one way or the other.

Here is a guy who wants help but does not answer his phone after 5 times and 2 days.......I give up ....I gave it my best shot.......

All I have to say is Im sorry Gene. I just got on here and saw the comments, but my phone has not rang or shown any missed call or message for the past couple days, I really dont know how long it has been. It came to my attention when my friend told me today (in person) they had been calling me and asked why I had not bothered to call back. I showed him the phone and no trace of missed calls or anything. The battery doesnt hold a charge, the screen off button doesnt work, and now this. Ill be taking it to ATT to get a new one. Once I do, I will call you back as soon as I can. Again, I am sorry. I didn't mean to offend or disrespect you in anyway. Maybe I can buy you a beer and we can talk pressure washing sometime to make up for it?

Thanks everyone for the comments and help. Hope this doesnt make the forum hate me now, twas as honest mistake.

Just got off the phone with Gene. He beat me up pretty good, but gave me good advice on things I need to consider on this, and any, job. Too bad he didnt take me up on the offer though.

Thanks everyone again for the helpful comments.
