Ipad taking credits cards!!

I use my iphone but apparently any Ipad or droid can use these portable swipes.

Square works with a lot more devices then just the iPad. I believe it works with most android phones as well as the iphone. I just already have an ipad for sales, so it made sense to use the square on it vs. my android phone.

The only "catch" is there is a 1000 limit per week to transfer into your bank account. If you have a transaction of $1300, for example, you'll receive the $1000 within a day or two, but you will have to wait upto 30 days on the following $300.

On the Square support forum, I read that if you provide them with more information about yourself and business they will waive that limit. Makes sense, they don't want to get burned in some scam.

For now this is perfect for me. If I find that I start accepting over $1000 a week in CC payments I'll see if I can work around the limit. (I've been accepting credit cards for about a year now and never accepted more then a grand a week.)

Around $25-30 per Month... But there's no need for a merchant account with Square.

So if I understand correctly, you don't need a merchant account if you have the IPAD and the Square?

So that means just the transaction fees and percentage, that would be great!

So, just get an IPAD, the Square and you can process credit cards? Cool!

It would be great to do things and not have to have a merchant account where you pay every month even though you might not process credit cards every month.

Thanks.

I use Paypal just for that... No monthly fees and my customers can pay right on my website.. I love it.. But it would definitely be cool to be able to do it right in the field with an IPAD!!

Square is sending out the card readers pretty fast now. It was taking several months but I got mine within two weeks.

Square up is awesome. I have always felt that any of the credit card proccessing companies that came out with these "pay per use" programs could do well. PayPal is what we use online for just that reason.... no monthly fee. Never saw the sense in paying those fees when not using the service. Especially for those of us that see seasonal swings in service needs.
