This is an interior of a warehouse that has been unused since 2006. They want the interior prepped for painting. The ceiling is 1 3/4" tongue and grove with old paint. The walls are poorly painted brick. There are old thin glass panes that will be covered with corrugated metal. The floor is concrete but covered with a good layer of dirt. They will have this swept with a sweeper before we come in. There is limited electric in the ceiling. All the present heaters will be pulled and trashed. The lighting is being replaced after we come in. There is one wall with panels on it. We will drop this area out and not hit that wall. Water and drainage is not a problem as there are plenty of roll doors to move water to.
I was thinking of using a butyl based cleaner down streamed for the paint prep. Although they want this paint prepped I don't think they are interested in paying for us to detail the ceiling.
Any recommendations on this? I have done interior work and nothing quite this large, 22,000 sp ft. nor with exposed electric. We can have the electric turned off. We brought up having a waiver where we will not be held liable for electrical damages. This doesn't seem to be an issue.
Any feedback on this?
