I was told my bid was high

This building had a band of black stained mortar 20' from top edge all the way around and a few scattered spots. Work must be performed on weekend and I had included a lift in my bid.
These guys wanted it worse than me.

I didnt measure it. With the lift I figured 8 hours and my bid was $1600.
There was two other guys on another corner. Pic was taken around 6pm. Have no idea when they started.

ThAts nuts, makes me think they knew someone.

Sad that a hospital would let a crew like that on their grounds to work. Pretty sure that yellow pole is a Home Depot rental. We would've been a lot more than 1600 also, and probably would have done that either from a lift, or from the roof for safety sake.

Depending on the height I may have done it from the ground. Not knowing the linear ft and height Not sure what I would Bid.

Im not concerned that I lost the job. The real reason I took this picture was to send it to the guy that ask me to give him an estimate. I will tell him I can never compete against this. If the cheapest price is his only concern. Dont bother to call me in the future.

I wouldn't mess with sending it to him...I'd get it to the board members of the hospital.

I'm shock the photos for real , you see these online an you think to yourself no one did that. It's photoshopped

I mean the other guy half way up a ladder bracing the other ladder. Two guys concerned at the bottom if that ladder falls. Except if the guy looses grip on brace ladder it all comes crashing down.

I never was to be in that hospital , if that's how the buyer shops for washing what kind if other help do they have? The cheapest contract surgical techs? The lowest quality of food. It's a huge eye sore Andy , I would include a letter to remove you from there bidding process unless they change there thought process on hiring.

I ask just about everybody who requests a bid - whats most important quality or price?..If its price im definitely not your guy..But if you want a company who is going to do the best job in the safest manner then im your guy!

Roots out lots of shoppers which i have no time for

Yep....same thing here

unfortunately that is the world we live in a lot of times lowest bid wins regardless. I would think the picture alone to the facility manager or corporate would exclude them from bidding again. That is exposing them to a lot of litigation should something happen to either the workers or patrons of the establishment. You would think the facility manager would understand but a lot of times it just isn't that way.
