I have some of AC's Green Wash and wonder what all it is designed to do?

I read these posts below, from RCIA, but they left me confused?
Is it a plant spray, to ease the effects of chlorine on plants?
Or is it a replacement for surfactant / ammonyx lo/ Dawn / etc?
Please advise me, if you know. Also, how much would I add to a 50/50 SH / H20 mix- I'm starting off testing an area with a 15 gallon tank mix. How much Green Wash would go in the 15 gallon mix?
Thanks,
Chuck

We finally got the bleach powder done and ready to ship. The plant wash is done and ready to ship. The neutral "truck" wash and the green wash had some production issues and we are working with the plant to get these resolved. Should be very soon.

Green Wash totally replaces everything else you are adding to your mix. SIMPLICITY!

Yes you still have to protect the landscape please see this thread.

SoftWash Systems by Delux has a special formulated granular mix that can reduce your plant damages associated with chemical exposure to almost zero!

This is a big deal! One of the biggest negatives we as roof cleaners have to overcome is the publicity we have gained as landscape killers. This new Plant Wash product not only neutralizes bleach but also adds a buffering compound to the plants and fortifies the plants with needed nutrients! This one product removes one of the objections yall face every day trying to sell your service.

For less than $4.00 / house you can stop the burn associated with Sodium Hypochlorite use. Yes I said SH. This product works with both liquid or powder bleach!!!!!!

Also you can stop using plastic! Just keep all of the foilage wet down with water before, during and after the cleaning then as a final step apply the Green Wash to the landscape.

Chuck,

The Green Wash is for using with your bleach solution. I am not sure why you cut and pasted what you did? There is a full explanation of what the Green Wash does on the other forum big and bold.

The Green Wash is an all in one replacement for surfactants, rinse aids, activators and fragrance added to bleach solutions. It will agument your bleach solutions cleaning ability so DO NOT MIX 50 / 50 !!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU WILL BE WASTING BLEACH. Id do a 30 gallon for every 100 gallons mix of SH or CH in a 3% solution to clean an average to heavily stained roof. Do not over add the Green Wash, it would be wasteful. Because this is a biodegradable product it does not contain phosphates. It will foam a little and is designed to but adding more and more will not give you any better results. Biodegradable products will not foam like those which contain phosphates. Use about 16 ounces of Green Wash up to 32 ounces per 100 gallon mix. The SoftWash Systems spraying rigs have an injection system built into them that meters the Green Wash into the mix. You will be using a "One Batch" method right?

Thanks,

AC

Thanks for posting those numbers AC, I forgot the amounts to add for the Green Wash, this helps a lot and shows that it is very cost effective when adding to your roof cleaning mix.

Thanks for the reply AC.
I posted the quotes, because I was unsure if the Green Wash was an
"all in one replacement for surfactants, rinse aids, activators and fragrance" as in one quote, or "For less than $4.00 / house you can stop the burn associated with Sodium Hypochlorite use. Yes I said SH. This product works with both liquid or powder bleach!!!!!!

Also you can stop using plastic! Just keep all of the foilage wet down with water before, during and after the cleaning then as a final step apply the Green Wash to the landscape." as in another quote????
I was left unsure if it was for cleaning roofs or helping plants survive?

From what you just said, I assume it is for cleaning and is not plant beneficial?
I'm not trying to give you a hard time, I'm trying to use the Green Wash properly and then report on my results.
I was given a sizable sample to use, just to pass on a report of it's effectiveness.
So, you are suggesting 16 - 32 oz in a mixture of 30% Chlorine and 40% water?
I will be using it Thursday on a barrel tile roof.

I don't want to misuse it.
Extra info can't hurt, a lack of info almost certainly will.

ok.....I give up...is nobody using acetic acid for a booster and sodium bi sulfate for the neutralizer?...............ok you still need some fillers, antidotes and other goodies in this mix.....but these ingredients are at least a jump start to success.

No haze.......no plant kill......but hey who am I?

Just a guy who rarely buys a plant/landscape/shrub/dog/cat for a customer.

Sell ya a truckload cheap.....

do some research , become an alchemist, become profitable.

Now..............is this fool proof, no cause I am a bonifide fool.

BUT, don't be fooled by the new and improved product that shows it's face, remember that some of the new and improved crapola' is endorsed and sold by a company that was once ran by/onwed by a group that kinda sorta almost tried to but ALMOST and possibly is still, but still is inderterminent but maybe didn't but tried to invent/ruin/make$$/be false/BS/bull sheeeet/Fu*k UP/ interpet/misinterpet/ be bafoons about the environmental industry as a whole.......as it is in respect to the pressure washing industry...................so HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.............be aware!!

I've been doing quite a bit of testing neutralizing with sodium metabisulfite with great success so far. I've got a local horticulturist who's been giving me some great advice and is also working on various cost effective concoctions to minimize and hopefully eliminate any possibility of plant damage. Only problem so far has been odor. I think there's lots of options out there and it just takes us all testing and experimenting and reporting successes and failures.

MIssed you at lunch today. Hopefully next time we can give you a little warning.

Hey Y'all,

I still see some confusion with the Green Wash over the Landscape Fortifier. These are two completely different products.

The Green Wash is an additive for hypochlorite cleaning solutions.

The Landscape Fortifier is a granular product that goes in a hose end sprayer that is sprayed on plants at the end of the cleaning job. It buffrers the plants against hypochlorite solutions and hydroxide solutions. It also does other things for protecting the plants and increases the survival rate.

Please do not confuse these products.

Thanks,

AC

I haven't heard anything more about green wash? Is anyone using it regularly?
Myself and another roof cleaner split some and neither of us felt it had the "stick" of Ammonyx Lo. The one case where I think it would be of value, is if you are paying for apple scent, to cover SH odor. Apple scent is so expensive, you could afford to use more green wash. I tried up to 32 oz to a 100 gallon mix ratio and it didn't stick as well as a 3/4 gallon Ammonyx lo to 100 gallon mix. The other guy got the same results and went back to ammonyx. If there is ever an improvement with the ability of green wash to stick better = less runoff. I will try it again!

Hi Doug, yes I did see your perk post at RCIA for green wash and that's what brought this posting back to mind.
If I remember correctly, wasn't it you who posted at RCIA that you had such a horrible mess from using the green wash partner product "Bleach Wash" or "Bleach Powder" [whatever it was called?? { calcium Hypochlorite under a new name! :) }
Maybe I am mixed up about it being you, but I thought it was you who posted on RCIA for help, because the Powdered Bleach coated everything in white powder and posted the pictures?
I remember that Delux themselves came to the rescue and that speaks well of them!
Of course, selling an untested [ by Delux ] product doesn't, but they certainly made up for that with you!
Did they give you a lifetime supply of Greenwash? :)
Just kidding, but you certainly did deserve any breaks you may be getting on green wash.
In my testing it, I didn't think it was a useless product, by any means! Just didn't offer what I want most, because I do 90% tile roofs- less runoff, more stick-to-it. Ammonyx is better for that, according to my tests.
I was really hoping the green wash would be the new replacement for ammonyx.
If only they could make it act thicker!

Yep that was me. Not every product works that I try, I always try to report back my findings whether good or bad. That Powdered Bleach thing just got blown way out of proportion. Everything worked out great in the end. And best of all I met and got to know some great people through it in AC and Michael. Funny how things always work out in the end when they are handled professionally like that. Learned quite a bit throught that experience.

No I do not get any discounts,I do not get paid, or get any breaks whatsoever. Well I take that back. Greg at delux sold me a gallon of PM for bleach at a discount to try it out. I tried it out and it worked exactly how he told me it would and I bought a 5 gallon pail a couple weeks later at Full Price. Been using it ever since to flush out my pumps, hoses, etc. Also use it on windows occasionally as needed.

But NO, I DO NOT ACCPET ANY "BREAKS" or "LIFE TIME SUPPLY". My integrity means a little more to me than that.

I know what you mean about the Florida Roofs. Having grown up in Clearwater and lived there most of my life, I've cleaned many a tile roof. Here in Houston it is the exact opposite. 90% shingle 10% tile.
