We have a customer that won't let us shine the hood. He says he had a cleaner shine the suppression pipe to the broiler, when he turned it on, watched the fire run up the pipe and melt the caulking out of the hood.
I told him there must have been a ridiculous amount of shine to do that and we would not repeat his mistake, but he is pretty set in his way now!

It is odd that we spend time and money to get all flammables out, then coat it with an extremely flammable substance.
