Hey all,

My name is Mike Hasterok, from the HOT desert of Arizona. I started a power washing business on the side of the street to spray people for $5 each to cool them off in the 100+ degree weather (ha, I wish it was that easy!)
I previously worked for a national home builder as a Customer Relations Manager for several years, but was laid off in Dec. 2008. I have wanted my own business for many, many years, and finally dove into it after being laid off. I started doing decorative coatings, which are nice, but too time consuming, and hard to work the mixture in the AZ heat. A few months ago I changed things up, and now offer nice epoxy coatings, int/ext floor paints, and POWER WASHING. So far, I have only done residential power washing, but am now pushing commercial. I run a Hotsy 4.8gpm, 3000 psi pw with a 275 gallon tank, both mounted in the bed of my truck (this is just a start of course).
I am excited to be in this business. This is a great forum. I've already learned alot in just a couple days of joining. I'll definately be back and have some input.
Off to Chilis to meet with the GM!
As always, Have a great day!

Thanks for the welcomes!

Jim, for some reason it's not letting me quick reply to you. I do epoxy coatings using Sherwin Williams products, and Behr for the lower budgets. You're in Phoenix though, right? At this point, I only work in Tucson (mosty NW Tucson). Thanks for the offer, I appreciate it.

Ah, I see the Marana, AZ location now. Oh well, when you branch up to Phoenix (just follow the trail of human smugglers) give me a call.

:eek::eek::eek:

Will do, thanks Jim!

On the videos at the top of the screen: any way to get sound?

There is a sound button at the bottom of the feed screen, right side. Most of the looped video streaming currently doesn't have sound, I don't think so anyways.

Welcome Mike

Hope it goes well for you, send me your info to. I'm ignorant when it comes to epoxy finishes. Is that similar to the floor coatings that are put in commercial kitchens? If so I need your info, I'll be in Marana next month :slap:

I just got back from Flag, it's freaking cold up there....and I didn't take a jacket, I won't make the same mistake in Prescott this weekend.

And Jim, I haven't forgot about our meeting it's just the only time I seem to be in your area is 3-4am:dirol:

Hi Lou. The epoxy finishes I do are for garage floors, and sometimes driveways & walkways. I am looking into a product from one of my suppliers that is specifically for commercial kitchens. I'll keep you posted. Thanks.

Welcome to the bbs Mike.

Got any before/after pics of your work with the coatings? If so, post some.

Whats Up!! Welcome.

Welcome Mike. Hmm, epoxy floors. That would try my patience.

Epoxy coatings aren't too bad. It's the decorative coatings that tried my patience. I'll try to attach a couple pics of the jobs I've done. My focus for most of my business is now on commercial power washing, with some epoxy coatings mixed in from time to time, no more decorative coatings.
