thought about window cleaning with a squeegee but definitely would take too long. so i don't think so.

You're missing a big upsell if you don't offer it- as long as you price it right.
I hit that magic 3 figure mark with window-cleaning just like I do with pw.

I clean windows, but only for commerical and industrial clients. I use both the regular squeegee method and pure water. Cleaning windows after a pressure washing job can really increase your profit once you're past the learning curve.

i figure as long as it would take to clean windows i could probably pw two houses instead.

window cleaning

i dont offer it, the borax and cascade in the mix cleans them up ok during the wash

So why not get paid for that?
If they're 75% of the way there after your housewash why not upsell the window cleaning and get paid 100% for 25% work?

Sell the whole house package.
Use tiered pricing.

Don't leave money on the table.

I started as a window cleaner - then got into pressure washing and coatings. We still gross more on the window cleaning side of the business but it is not as much per man hour. I still love to get out and "swing dat weeggee" - you get to be 'one with the glass'.
Plus when the squeggee breaks you just replace the rubber - life is simple.

Tim you need help buddy.................;)

I can work a squeege with the best of them, but how I hate doing windows. We stopped offering window washing for resi 2 yrs ago,but still handle the windows on commercial work. It's a fast add on to boost the invoice total and take yet another worry off of the customer.

what's the going rate per window? what size, etc.

i don't do them either but would like to see how much extra it would generate. i can't see it generating enough money, actually i see it as slowing things down.

Depends on your business model and work load.

If you have a full schedule of house washes all day, every day then it might slow you down.
If you have some extra time then why not maximize your profit at each stop?

Plus, if you offer window cleaning as an add-on or as part of your top tier package then you don't have to worry about call backs for non-perfect windows if they don't pay for them.

I started out as just a window cleaner now over time my business has developed to the exterior home maintenance cleaning title. This has worked out great because we visit clients homes 2-4 times a year for various services or the whole shebang. Window cleaning has gotten me where I am today and I will always consider it my signature service. I hope with your forum I can be more up to speed on our pressure washing.
