Control your Market with a Pricelist

Until their price is higher than the roundabout price, then it is "Why am I so much higher?" Of course, that means you need to set your price high enough that you can make money off of nearly everyone.
 
when I put in an estimate for a deck or house restoration job I put every item on a line. Everything is separate, stain, deck strip, deck prep for stain, stain deck, supplies, Etc. when a customer sees where their money is going they tend to understand why it costs so much.
 
I understand the price list, but I'm missing the point on how it helps you control your market. Maybe my newbie-ness is getting in the way. I would love to learn how something like this may help he grow or give me an edge.

I gave him the list, including breakedown (rate x size) and let him pick and choose. Ultimately, he decided to have me clean it all.

Kinda like when you have two car lots, one with the prices on the cars and one without. Which one are you going to first?
 
Ron, what kind of GPM are you running to hit those kinds of times on a fast food restaurant? Is it with running two wands?
 
I don't know what you're doing then. It's usually 2 or 2.5 for a single person with 5.5 gpm for us. But we are also getting more money than on your price list. Maybe the parking lots are bigger here.

Single operator? Really? Holy moly Ron... no wonder it's so profitable for you to run those routes.

You dang low baller lol --- We have picked up over 20 locations this year with across the board pricing. I will say concrete cleaning is its own separate business.

Last year we systemized everything including pricing. Putting the pricing list out there helps rid the tire kickers and gets us our numbers we need. We have grossed more and performed less work..
