What Is The Best Product To Use When Cleaning Vinyl Windows In Porches?

Most of the time we go around the windows at customers

request because they spot so bad with the screens on the

outside collecting dirt. Is there something to use in the water to

eliminate this problem? Don't want to dry out the vinyl and let it

crack. Would be nice to wash from the outside without taking

them out to do. In Florida most of the houses have them.
 
Sky clean

Sky clean "Multi-Clean" is an excellent vinyl cleaner. I use it to clean gutters, signs and any kind of plastics. Its a little expensive to use straight but it really is a good cleaner. Another option is gutter zap.


I am answering the qustion as if it where directed at the window casing and not the window and screen.

Vinyl Windows Not Glass Inserts In Porches

Talking about windows not casings. Seems plain water even spots them. Have to be careful what you use can tear very easily. Guess they do not use them in colder areas. :)
 
Well its certainly warm down here, but I'm not familar with these, maybe I've not been paying much attention, could you post a picture, this would help to clarify.

Not familiar with these, but sounds like they would be similar to a JEEP with the soft doors. In the ARMY we used a silicone based protectant on the HUMMER doors and windows.
It worked well, especially considering the abuse these items received.

We clean vinyl windows all of the time. Customers here in FL have them mainly on their screen porches. We get our cleaner from the company that installs the windows/screen porches. It is a spray on/buff off cleaner, comes in an aerosol can and we use no lint blue surgical towels to clean them up. Works great and it also protects the vinyl from cracking.
 
How do you wash Vinyl Windows When Pressure Washing House?

My main question Jim was, how to prevent the windows from getting spotty when pressure washing the house? Even just the plain water spots them.What can you add to the water to prevent it? Do you go around them then get paid to clean them afterwards? How much can you charge for each panel? Have been using Zep Vinyl Cleaner with good results taking the panels out afterwards but it is time consuming. Not everyone wants to pay extra to clean them afterwards after we get them wet. Makes it a little harder to please. Anna:(

I was thinking of using that. Tried Liquid Jet Dry mixed with Dishwashing Detergent on my own glass windows a while back, came out sparkling. Will give it a try on my vinyl windows first. Off course will make sure nothing harsh is in the water with it. Anna :)
