Thanks guys, used a 45ft man lift, i did have to get on the roof for the back side but that side isn't that steep, that one side is dangerously steep. Strong house wash mix and let it dwell for a few, here's a pic of me sitting down on the job.

Great job! You'll be swaying in bed trying to go to sleep. I would have tried to get the bucket by the steeple from the side above the roof and not gotten on that roof. You're braver than me. How long did it take just to do the steeple? Did it have lichens?

Yes to the lichens, took me 4 hours total and about an hour on the steeple, trust me I tried every which way to get the bucket closer but ground obstacles wouldn't let me, and parking lot was sloped big time. Overall I was happy with the payday, and a couple deacons and pastor came by to tell me how much they appreciated it, that's makes it all worth the while.

After I finished job, they told me that they got 2 more estimates but neither one would do the steeple because they couldn't get to it! My price was high but I knew I could get the job done

I was trying to post pics of a steeple I did that had them, but I'm having trouble posting pics now on Tapatalk.
I guess best way is hit 'em with strong SH housewash mix. Dwell. And I had to hit them pretty hard with a shooter tip from a distance. Maybe it was a 0040 from my 8 gpm. I tried to get as close as possible with an 8ft + 4ft lance coupled together. I probably spent 4 hours on that steeple. It was a windy day up there! I thought about treating it like a roof cleaning with a strong direct application and letting them dry up and fall off. But in the end I really wanted them gone for sure while I had the lift rented.

This is Pats pics, you can see the lichens pretty good since it's a up close picture

Ah. Not what I was thinking. I have seen those. So how are they best removed?

If on a roof, After applying your mix, just let the rain remove them. If on the exterior of a surface, depending on the surface, then light pressure will remove them, after you have applied your mix.

Got it... Man, do you sleep?
