there are several prime location billboards available in my area. Have any of you tried to advertised on a billboard?

Prime Billboard space is usually pretty expensive. In my opinion you could probably use that money more effectively marketing your business in other ways, mailers, internet, cable TV, maybe even a part-time sales person. Pay him or her the the cost of the billboard plus commission.

Just my opinion, good luck.

they are desperate for money here. $400 per month. Locations right down town.

Buy a 99.00 stencil and make your own signs

Ron who sells these stencils again?? I was talking to Pete Marentey from Sunbrite at the UAMCC Convention and he seems to be a big fan of the stencils.

A billboard on the interstate loop around here is $2K to $4k a month. I'd think they would only be effective for residential work. Much better ways to spend ad money.

Pete is a big fan of stencils he sells them. I bought one today.

I am not talking about on the freeway. I don't think it would do me anygood to get a bunch of calls from out of state people.

Don't know your location. I was talking a metro area. Local loop here runs 150,000+ cars per day past a billboard and 78% + are local during rush hours. Don't see how you could get hurt at $400.

On these stencils, Are yall just pulling up to a location laying the stencil down running the surface cleaner over it and Moving to the next?, or are you gaining contact with the Gate keeper first?

Lonnie, is that 40 demos with your stencil in front of the property manager/owner? Do you do any without permission or appointments?

We tried bill boards last year. 3 signs, 3 months in great locations in good towns. I called the companies that used the same signs before and they said they did great and still use them.
We got 2 calls for about $1,000 worth of work.
