Beckett Ignitor ?

I have never been able to get an ignitor warranteed. It probably burned out due to overuse.

What is the warranty on the Beckett 12 volt ignitor?

I was told 3 months, before I order one I want to make sure its not a year, my unit is less than a year old.

3 min or 30 miles, whichever comes first!!!!;)

No help here, ours have only burned out one time, but that was over twelve years ago and with a different boiler assembly ( Delco ). Great machine the D6300 was our first pressure washer and is still going.

It is only fair to say though, that I am confident that our burners do not have the hours on them as most here do.... We simply do not use ours as other pressure washers do in the country. I am sure that has a great deal to do with it.

If you have to replace it at your expense, get an Allanson Omni ignitor. They're a universal fit, will replace Beckett and Wayne, and I have found them to last a lot longer.

check the electrodes as well when you have it out. Took me 4 ignitors on one machine to figure that part out, lol.

Whats with ignitors being so expensive? And could they be more durable?

Anyone ever used a coil to make the spark?

It is all based on the date code but the standard warranty for Beckett is 5 years form date of manufacture. They use the YYMM on the igniters ie. 0204 would be April of 2002.

Many years ago, Excell made a skid and modified a Wayne burner to ignite with a 12 volt coil and Chevy points/condenser. It worked ok, but was prone to vibrating out of adjustment. Alkota used to use a Fairbanks Morse magneto (like you'd find on an old tractor) to ignite.

We still gonna do the 5 minute boiled peanuts with that new set up Russ!!!
ya know I had that one up to 300 degrees at one time but it caused all kinds of headaches, I had to turn this down after the new ignitor was installed.

I am saddened by the way the Pressure Pro was designed, very very poorly wired, there were wires with no insulation on them (bare in some areas) this was from the factory!

It has come a part where it was mounted to the base (twice) as well.

I have another that I ordered that is a pressure pro and is a completely different design, the one with the problems is a 2008 model and is tall and skinny with a square fuel tank, the other was also ordered in 2008 and is about 8 inches bigger around and a foot shorter and has a round tank but it is built like a war ship and the base is well constructed.

So thats my take I am extremely dissatistfied with the Pressure Pro product so far. Up until then I had only owned Alkotas and 1 Tuff Skid, I know where 4 of my Alkotas are right now that get almost daily use and are still in great shape. I also have a Pressure Pro cold water unit that is falling apart as well, same parts as the Alkota but put together poorly !
