Apple Goes Shopping At Wal Mart And Lowes

Apple Roof Cleaning

Roof Cleaning Instructor
I wanted to take you guys on a shopping trip with me.
Whenever I shop, I have roof cleaning in mind.
Lets explore what Wal mart and Lowes have to offer the roof cleaner, in a pinch ?
First of all, there IS 10 percent SH for 2.96 a gallon.
Handy, if ya need some on a weekend and are out :D
Then, there are some plastic spray devices and angled wands.
Then, there is the my shooting concotion using a 3/4 inch ball valve, and both a 1/4 and 3/8 hose barb.
I am just gonna start posting pictures, ask any questions you like, and we will go from there.
Lets play a game and see how much you guys know what this stuff is for ?

Yep, thats what it be!
hey Scott, did ya see the cannister gun pictured ?
I was thinkin we could fill the cannister with copper sulfate, and use it to treat a roof w/o "contaminating the WHOLE water tank ?

I was about to ask you?
Kasey, did you notice the different size hose barbs ?
One is for people with smaller pumps/long small hose applications, the 3/8 barb is for those of us who prefer more flow ?

And no one threw you out of the store for taking pictures of all these items? LOL. I cant help but laugh :) I can just picture you doing this... Security must have thought you were casing the joint! LOL

Actually, I DID get some weird loks in Wal Mart
I actually TOLD a young girl who worked at Lowe's what I was doing.
She was almost overly helpful, and cute too :)
So, I asked her if she was :this nice: to all shoppers ?
Her answer "Hey, it's Father Day"
Geez :(

Thanks Chris
welcome Mike!
This kind of locally availiable stuff will save your azz, when you cant get the good stuff.
When you gott jobs to do, ya do what ya gotta do to get em done.

The amount of copper sulfate for algae re growth protection is small.
Even IF the crystals do not all dissolve, there still should be a high enough concentration by simplt loading the cannister, and passing water through it.
Sure, it is better to pre dissolve a fixed amount of copper sulfate to water in a tank.
But many dont HAVE an extra water tank, and may not wish contamination of their main water supply ?
hey, JUST a thought, always thinking, always thinking :)
