do you guys put these out on intersections? what are you doing wiht them? whats your return like?

Recent example in a Portland suburb. Really dirty roof. Subdivision collector street.

Finished the job, looked great. Put a sign in the yard.

A week later the next door neighbor called and we cleaned her roof, put up another sign.

About a week later a lady from about six blocks away called and we cleaned the roof. Put up a sign but no cigars - dead end street.

Then a guy from about a mile away called off the first two signs. Could have cleaned his roof but opted not to because I didn't like him.

They work great but also routinely get swiped.

Interesting! Thanks! Did you ask the homeowner if you could post a sign in the yard? Or just put it there?

Never ask........... If they are paying you to improve the beautification of their home from the curb........ they will love the extra attention the sign brings for people to notice the property

On residential I always ask...some HOA's have rules against yard signs so I never want to put my customer in an awkward situation with their HOA. I feel it's like if it's there property the least I can foo is ask for permission, out of respect. When i ask I also ask them to please leave it up for a week and then they can throw then in the trash. It's not often, I put them in front of homes, there has to be a certain set of circumstances for me to put one in front of a home.

I don't think I have ever gone back to retrieve a sign from a residential home.

I like to place them in the yard so that the neighbors notice the change. We get the most calls from the roof cleaning signs. Probably because the change in the house's appearance is the most dramatic.

90% of Hoa's I've dealt with allow signs infront of the house for the contractor while the job is in the "in progress stage", but not after. Makes me debate our efficiency on how fast we wash.... I need to start taking a few days of "in progress" time on some of my target neighborhoods!

I saw a sign yesterday placed in a great spot near a retail corner. I recognized it because it was the third time I saw it. A guy training dogs. Offers a discount if you mention sign.

When he left he stuck a sign on the front yard

I thought it was a bit Ballsy to do that without asking
