Chris mounted a temp/pressure gauge before his reel. I guess he didn't think about how he was mounting it because the point of least resistance has become the quick connects instead of the superswivel.
I noticed three months ago that when he wound and unwound his reel the entire gauge would turn - meaning that the quick connect was "acting" as the swivel.
It's been three months night after night hour after hour of running hot water and he has not had to replace that o-ring yet. Between my work and his on that machine he probably runs it about 30 hrs per week.
This is bizarre. Is this a fluke or is it possible to use a quick connect on a regular basis as a swivel? Jerry hooked us up with large capacity QC swivels for the supply reels but I didn't ever think they would work for the pressure lines.
Any thoughts on this?
