Used Swabby in Indy for pressure washing

There using them. I stopped up at a guys job last yr that he used his swabby on and that job was aprox $80,000.

Most of those guys don't post on the net.

John, all the guys with no dis-respect to you always trade sell or unload the thing shortly after purchase.

I'm not saying the machine sucks, just seems they never have many hours. How many did yours have when you sold it?

Very True....there are several PW companies that I know that DWARF everyone on these boards....EVERYONE.

My guess is that the members of this board represent less than 1% of total pressure washing companies in America.

Yes very true. I use to have a list back when and there were 40,000 listed PW companies. Probably more today even though my guess is today more fail on average.

I never sold mine. I dumped off the reclaiming end but the Swabby is golden. Cleans faster then any machine I seen because the bars are belt driven. Against my Hydrotek 38" surface machine the Swabby is aprox 4 times faster.

As for Hours I only use the swabby on large jobs and when in use I make at least $500/hr if not more. The jobs I use it on over the last few years totaled over 200 grand with two of those jobs in the $30,000 range but the swabby its self has about 150 hrs on it so I would say in those hours it generated probably $80,000 if not more.

We are in Indy all the time with work, actually about 15 times a year.

Anyhow the Swabby that is for sale in Indy has about less than 35hrs on it. Its a 2004/2005 model and does work fine, but needs up grades to work more efficenitly. I look at this swabby about two years ago and then he was asking around $20,000. I was on my way to go buy the exact same swabby out of North Carloina with 13hours on it for $16,000. Then I invested about another $3,000 in up grades to the swabby I bought.

Like Ron said, had the unit for about almost two years and made good monies, but the machine sat most of the time, but it worked fine and made great money, its just a whole other market place to run the unit. I then bought John T. mothership reclaim system and never used it at all. Ended up selling the entire package swabby and mothership reclaim unit for $35,000 to a pressure washing company that landed the $80,000 job that john was talking about.
I have not talked to that company in a while that I sold to but I bet that guy would be up to take offers now? my guess.

Its impressive to see, It is more impressive when you have a sweet fancy truck pulling it. I never had any work with the reclaim unit but did i ever get questions when I was buying gas. The head turning down the road was comical also.

I liked the Idea of pulling it around just to make people and customers think.

It actually got me some work when I bid a few jobs because the customer was so impressed with a retail value of a $150,000 unit I was driving and pulling. Then my guys show up to do the work in a normal size box truck to do the work.
Is this call bait and switch???????????
or curb appeal??????????
