We encourage all contractors to attend this meeting after. We will discuss openly about the next steps with the City of Houstons BMP's.


All will be welcome and the City has been invited. No confirmation on attendance at this point. They want to discuss during there meeting in the 3rd ward building. Please be there at 8 am sharp if your interested in talking directly with the city.

Doug Rucker has been instrucmental in leading the way to having this town hall meeting. We are working on a Site if the city doesn’t allow us to use the facility they are hosting the seminar at. We will have further details shortly. Since we are asking for local Texas contractors only we hope that short notice will not be a problem.
Look forward to meeting with the folks in Texas and plan on this as the first steps to remedy some concerns.

FYI - for those that are interested in the Environmental Seminar by the City,that meeting is limited to the first 100 people that RSVP.
 
I would like to go but have some jobs lined up around that time but I think I can move them a day or so. I will not know until the week before if I will be able to make it.

I am thinking that if some of the guys that have the systems like Sirocco could make some short video clips showing the vacuum surface cleaners working, the vacuberm, vacuboom, etc.... working and not letting the wash water go down the street or into the drain then that might be something to show the people in Houston.

The people in Houston might not know that the wash water can be properly contained, processed and sent to the proper places and not be in violation of the clean water act, videos showing this could be something that they might open their minds to and let them know that there are contractors that are doing the right thing and not have to haul away the wash water (which by itself opens up many different cans of worms).

I will try to make it there.

We are One week out guys, if you attending please send the city the PDF doc provided by the city.

We are having a Casual Social following the meeting. Please send Doug your info if you plan on attending, we need a final head count so we can have Chairs set up. Dave & busters will have a menu if you would like to enjoy food or drinks.

This is a kid friendly place if you need to bring your children.

Keep in mind this is for TEXAS local contractors, please do not travel 100's of miles for this event. This is a stage one Awareness to start change in a program we believe is flawed.

I plan on going, it is more than 240 miles away, just need to finish the parking garage project before I can go.
